  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Today we took a trip to the snow. After only being there for about 10 minutes, my son Jordan slid down the mountain on an intertube. The intertube spun around so that he was going backwards. He ran smack into a tree. I was standing about 15 feet away from him when he hit. His head, when it hit the tree sounded like you would imagine a canteloupe would sound if you smacked it on the sidewalk really hard.

He has a large lump with a nasty looking bruise that appeared instantly on it. I insisted that we leave right away to take him to the hospital. My husband is at the emergency room with him right now. He kept wanting to fall asleep on the drive home. They've been gone two hours now. (they left here a little after 2:00pm)

I've been praying for him. But I really need others to pray too. I'm praying that it's not a concusion. But underneath a very thin layer of calm, I'm really very much on the verge of freaking out. Trying to keep it together for the sake of everyone else. But I did cry despite myself. And now I feel a little dazed.

Please pray for my son Jordan. He's 11 years old. He's my only son.

Thank you.

This picture of him was taken last year.

I've always believed that God answers the prayers of mothers who are praying their heart out because of their child. Like a big beam of light those prayers are I imagine.

I just received a phone call from my husband. They just saw the doctor just now. (another answered prayer. I prayed that they would be seen right away in the Emergency room. To wait under two hours on a Saturday? That's completely unheard of. ) Jordan passed all the neurological exams. The doctor gave them a check list of things to look for. But seemed to think he doesn't have a concusion.

Thank you Lord! And thank you who prayed for him. The phone call came I'm sure while you were in mid prayer. Just goes to prove this verse, one of my favorites:
Isa.65:24 said:
And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.

 I am a mess. Happy tears though.

I've been through a scare like that, my 4 yr old was running in the house and tripped over his own two feet. He hit his forehead hard on the coffee table. Immediatly I huge brusie with a thin red line in the middle of it appeared. A knot started and grew and grew. It looked like a golf ball. And the red line was spliting. He also wanted to fall asleep, I threw him in the front seat of the car and went 90 to nothing to the hosp. Only to be told "he's okay" Neathless to say he does not run in the house anymore.. Sorry for your scare, glad to know your son is okay. Let us know how he is later on though.
