please pray for my friend

My friend...how can I describe him w/o recieving condemnation from these boards?
I'll just do it. He's...a .....drinking buddy, there I said it
we don't drink that often, but we do drink and that's what we do when we hang out usually ne way.... (but this post isn't about my drinking and whether it's bad or not)
but, he......
I've been hearing from his g/f that he takes her to church...
he goes to church, it's catholic and he just goes through the motions and everything...but...no one makes him do that....his family, doesn't go at all...I can't see why he goes. He never talks about God or a relationship w/ God or ANYTHING at all like that... but, it seems as though...I don't know, I think he might be searching I think he might. I pray he is. I don't pray much anymore but, could you guys just PLEASE PRAY that he finds God, that God finds him, something, that he some how comes to know Jesus as Lord and Savior...please guys, I don't pray much anymore, but.... I really want to see this guy come to know Jesus. For some reason, he's on my heart. Also, pray that...if God wants to use me in some way, to get this guy to him, that, I'll be willing, and that I'll be able. His name's Mike

I'll pray for Mike and you as well. I see that you don't pray much but don't understand why. Please pray. I pray that God touches you both. It seems God is talking with you please respond to God. Prayer will give you many answers and much contentment.

BTW your not a loser....and God can provide much more of a thrill than any amount of alcohol....your only 16 atleast wait until your of age...not condeming you just trying to let you know some things I've learned over the years...I drank at 16 also so I understand. But please seek the Lord and pray. The sooner you start living for God the sooner you will find joy, love peace happiness and contentment. Living for God provides a greater high than any drugs or alcohol could give and the high doesn't go away.

I will pray for both of you, Terri. I pray for your friend Mike, that his heart will be opened to the Lord and to his saving grace. I also pray that you will feel the desire to pray and talk to God again. I don't know why you don't, but I know God knows your situation and that he will keep you in his loving arms.

I've a pretty good idea where your coming from.  Don't worry about what to say you'll know what to say when the times is right.  I'll be praying for you to.  I know what it's like to fear being condemned by church people.  Personally the way things are if Jesus was walking on this earth right now I'd probably find Him at the local pub anyway.

Your honesty in posting is admirable. God will hold you in His arms close to the heart of the Saviour. You are not a loser. Your love for your friend and seeking to bring Him to the Lord is wonderful. Continue to open your heart to Jesus and He will guide you. I will pray for you and your friend. Seek God and speak to Him there is nothing you can do to keep you from the love of God the Father. Stop putting yourself down you seem to have a truly seeking heart that takes some of us years to find. God bless You as you seek His will. I will be praying for you and remember the prayers of the saints can uphold you. Seek and you shall find!
