I would really appreciate it if you would pray for a good friend of mine who is struggling. Her name is Ashley. In the last two years, she has slowly lost her faith and now she doesn't have the strength to get it back. It all started when her very best friend died of cystic fibrosis at age 19. Since then her life has slowly gone down into the pits, especially in the last year. She's had a lot of bad experiences, things that have hurt her deeply, and has compromised her beliefs. I have tried to help her (I'm the only one she trusts anymore), but most of the time she did not want anything to do with God. And when she did want to be close to Him, she couldn't. She finds it very difficult if not impossible to pray to Him.
There's some good news though. I saw a change in her two nights ago. She told me that she was ready to come back to the Lord. But she needed help because she couldn't do it alone. She doesn't really know how. But that night she told me that she gave everything to God. She couldn't stand how her life was anymore, so she gave control of her life back to God. And she prayed to Him. And yesterday she had a superb day! Something has changed in her and she is now willing to listen to me. She is seeking God again. So I want you all to pray for her. That she would continue to seek Him and that she would find some more Christian friends. And that she would not fall away again. And pray for me too, for the wisdom and the strength to help her.
Thank you,
Keith
