My father was very ill, and had to go to the hospital about three hours ago. We still don't know what is going on, but he was really sick. Please pray for him.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

They found out what it was: he had a heart attack. He's scheduled for a balloon angioplasty at 8:00 tomorrow morning. Please pray for him

It's really bad, worse than they had thought to begin with, they found out when they were testing him in preparation for the angioplasty. He has to have a quadruple bypass at 6:00 tomorrow morning. Please keep praying for him

I'm finally able to get here so I'll update you now. . .
Once the surgery began, the doctor saw that it was even worse than they had thought. My father had to have a quintuple heart bypass.
According to the doctors and my mother (who saw him last) he is in as good of condition as can be expected, although he's in the cardiac ICU.
Please keep him and us in your prayers.
