  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

My brother has been going through a difficult time over the last year or so. He was sexually abused by our stepfather when he was young and has never dealt with this other than to try and hide from it. It has very negatively affected his health. He has turned to workaholism and alcoholism as methods of escape, etc... Over the last few months he has virtually shut everyone out of his life and it's hard to reach him. I believe that all these crisis situations in his life are part of God's plan to bring him in. Doug is very disallusioned with anything to do with "religion" but he does beleive there is a God. Anyway, he really needs alot of prayer. Thanks all. Cindy

I hold up Doug to you Lord, bring him to the bottom of his rope if you have to reach him.
Get him to a place that will allow him to hear you, so you can reason with him.
I also pray that many workers would tell him about You Lord. This would be a better way than to get him to the bottom of his rope, but if he still won't listen, then get him to the bottom. In your name Jesus.
