  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

:prayer: My brother was in an accident on Feb 23. He was at work and a huge hot water heater exploded. He was burnt over 70% of his body with 3rd degree burns. He had only a 14% chance to live the first week. He has had four surgerys and over 200 skin grafts. He was burnt so bad that there wasn't enough good skin to do the skin grafts. The doctors had to remove some skin from the back of his lower leg and send it to Boston and there they grew his skin for the skin grafts. He has suffered horrible pain and never complains. He is now in Rehab and his wife  is with him, she has been there since day one. He has two children, a son 12 and a daughter 6. His daughter had never been away from her mother and father until Feb 23, and she has only seen them once since then. I talked to him today and he sounds so weak. It breaks my heart to see him and hear him this way. But I thank God that he is still with us and that God spared him so we can have more time with him.:help: So if any of you would pray :prayer: for him and his family I know that will be the best thing for him. He has lost over 45 pounds so far and is very weak. He is having problems eating. And that is hendering his recovery. Thank each and every one of you.:amen:
