Please pray for my back

I woke up this morning with a vicious pain right betwixt the shoulder blades, which spread across my chest within a very short time. I ended up going to see my chiropracter, and I am taking massive doses of aspirin and have been using moist heat all day today. Most of the day I was in extremely intense pain, and sitting in the pew tonight for the Assumption Day Mass just about killed me.

I don't know what I did.....I unloaded some lightweight fence yesterday, moved my son's rocking horse, and tried to get a lawn mower started by pulling on the start rope, but whatever it was, it wasn't good.

I think it's mainly that I'm not 20 years old any more.

Anyway, I would surely appreciate whatever prayers you guys could render me...I'm hurting pretty bad, here.

So sorry to hear about this Wols. I hope you're feeling better now. Did the chiro give you any relief? It sounds like you might have torn something.

Take it from a 23yo who, despite my age, has more than her fair share of back problems/surgeries. See your doc (not just a chiro) pronto. It sounds like it might be a strained muscle, but you can never be too sure. It could be a bulging or ruptured disk or even a degenerated disk, or any other number of things. At any rate, they can put you on some medication to hopefully get you some relief. And if the pain persists more than a few days, or goes down your arms, or you get any numbness or tingling, PLEASE don't put off going to the doctor. They can be warning signs of something more serious than a strained muscle.

Thank you all. I'm doing much better---yesterday was better than Friday, and today is better than yesterday.

I'm still good and sore, but there is no active pain any more, and for that I am very grateful.

Mind you, I'm not ready to take on the Mexican Army singlehanded, or anything, but I am much, much better.
