  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Hi Susan, I am sure it would be very difficult to find a christian who has not felt burnt out at one time or another in their life. Be encouraged that you are not alone, we are here but more importantly, so is He. When you are feeling sad, so does He. Even when you don't really know why you feel the way you do. Ask that His Holy Spirit makes intercession for you. I am praying that we can lift you up in His Name and you find a new peace and joy in your walk with Christ. Keep the faith living in you. Satan will do his very best to cause a wedge between you and God, that is his job, I suppose. But he only has enough power than what we give to him. The power that is in you, even right now feeling like you do, is much stronger than any power or stronghold that satan tries to have.

Lord, please show susan that faith in You is a restful thing, and not something to get burned out about. Show her where and how to find peace in your and rest. You said that you are gentle and humble of heart and you will give rest to all who are weary and heavy-laden who seek you. Please teach susan the difference between what pleases you and what she might be doing to please the religious sensibilities of others. And help her to grow closer to you through all this. Amen.

Thanks all. . .I know that for God to really like me again that I have to become much more conservative and strict as to what I do. . .maybe if I do nothing but read my 1611 KJV and pray, then He would remove the curses on me and be appeased for a short while. . .

Oh Susan, who has mislead you? God ALREADY loves you. God is not like man. God does not withdraw His love because of what you do or do not do.
You cannot do anything to EARN God's love! There is no pentence you can do to remove "curses" on you!!!

Jesus suffered and died to pay the penalty for ALL our sins. ALL of them, past, present, and future. All we are required to do is repent and accept the gift of salvation He offers us. His Blood paid the penalty. His Blood washed away the curse of sin.
