  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Please pray for me. (I)

in every way you have been enriched in him,
in speech and knowledge of every kind

you are not lacking in any spiritual gift
as you wait for the revealing of our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Cor 1:5,7)

According to Paul, the Corinthian church was
1) enriched in Christ, in speech and knowledge of every kind,
2) not lacking any spiritual gift
3) eagerly waiting for the revealing of Christ,
4) called into the fellowship with Jesus.

This was a true church, though not all were perfect saints. Reading passges like this used to make me excited, for now I had a ground (God's own words) to request the same for my church. Not any more. I must be tired of waiting for too many years. Even though I know I shouldn't, I cannot pull myself out of disappointment. Maybe, it is not going to happen during my wandering years. I fall in deep sadness.

Brothers and sisters, please pray for me.

Thank you, brothers, for praying for me. And I also thank many other brothers and sisters who have prayed and been praying for me.

For several weeks, the words of the bible have been too heavy for my soul and body to bear. I have been asking God the Father to have mercy on me and deliver me from the heavy burden. Since the heaviness of words entered in me, I was so crushed that I could not praise and worship as I used to. When I started this thread, I was going to share with you the words in several posts, and ask you to pray for me.

Thanks to your prayers, I already experienced the first lifting of the heaviness this morning. It is too long a testimony to write. But I can tell you this: God heard my pleas and restored the spirit of praise in me. I think I am going to be restored to his grace soon.

Again, I thank you brothers for praying for me. It was such a great help.
