Please help me i am struggling with lustful thoughts and i a want to clean my heart and my mind please pray for me.

Sure, we'll pray. God helps...the fruits of the spirit the you hear about: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, self-control are not generated by us. They are given to us freely. I just heard a sermon that said even in the Old Testament, the sacrifices were inspected by the priest--the people were not inspected. So even though God sees, He's ready to let you move on.

You will need to find time to let your spirit and body be in tune and in peace with your sexuality.

As long as you really love the person there is nothing wrong with having these thoughts.

Terrible. I also struggled with this my friend. The bible clearly states the wages of sin is death. I say destroy these pornography in your house movies magazines etc. Then don't go to Porn sites online. This is the first step to stopping it. Pray to God to take these things away and HE will. I also have struggles with an addictiion to porn. I can't condemn you brother/sister just help you finds ways to busy yourself with other things like take long walks ? Cold showers or get a hobby like creating web pages or graphic Art. There are alot things we can do to busy our minds with constructive things rather than destructive things. I have faith anyone can over come strongholds in their life because if i can do it then you can too. Your Friend in Christ JON

Dear God thank You Max__ has been brave enough to ask for prayer and confess his struggle here!! Bless Him Father and draw Him to his knees before You... For through his confession to You his sins are forgiven... He is washed by Your blood and I pray He is filled by the truth of Your promises.. For the truth will set Him free!! I pray no weapon formed against Him shall prosper.. Fight the battle for Him Lord and give him the victory.. Remove from him these desires so through his freedom he can proclaim the name of Jesus and find hope... I ask this through Jesus name.. Amen

Men, maybe (?) more so than women, do struggle with lustful thoughts. You're in my prayers.

...Which means that we women have our own sins to deal with, like criticism of those with temptations some of us just don't get. Jesus included in the Lord's prayer "And lead us not into temptation," which I think is a funny thing we should have to ask for.

There are a lot of spiritual principles that don't fall into place until we ask.

The temptation towards alcoholism has been shown to be genetic as well as adrenal-based (sugar ups and downs). I'm sure that some of this temptation is based on pheromones/hormones you were born with. You're still responsible to contain your responses and avoid controlling or harming others, but we all have our own weaknesses.

A thought is not a sin unless you accept it, dwell on it, or act on it.

sometimes the fear of the lustful thought arms it so to speak.

the strength of sin is the law, so if you think "thou shalt not lust"

then the lust will get stronger

try to realise that in and of yourself you cannot overcome lust you are doomed to failure only faith can get you a lasting victory.

if you fall get back up

remember the cross where Jesus crucified your lust once and for all and dare to believe, God will reward such audacity with power from on high.

it takes more than your passion and more than your pain for the rock of forgiveness to melt in the rain.

realise that your lust is no match for the finished work of Christ.

do not, i repeat DO NOT try to fight it in your own strength or you will lose and if you didn't lose but conquered lust on your own well that would be worse than lust it would be self righteousness.

faith will win the day.

His Spirit will see to it.

dare to believe your lust was crucified at calvary.

I listened to a short section of a 'seminar' regarding pornography. Let me share this:

... the hook that is in pornography for men is that the woman/women make the man viewing feel "welcomed, and wanted".

This was determined by interviews of people hooked on pornography.

There may be a connection with the self-image of people. Maybe people who have a more difficult time with pornography also have a less-than-high self image, or self-worth. Whether it be real or imagined, these men may be struggling with self assurance and may be de-valuing themselves.
