Forgive my being upspirtual here.....
If you loved xtreme sport, camping and outdoors. You find a date a woman who loves candlelight dinners, poetry, and is nausiated and allergig to the outdoors. Not much chance to have a working relationship as "one" unless one of you changes?!?!
She would have a difficult if not almost impossible time married to a non-christian if:
1) Morals are not the same standards
2) Belief of husband and wife responsibility are not defined.
3) You do not treat her as a Godly husband is COMMANDED!
4) You are a party animal, she does not pursue a "worldly" lifestyle.
5) And so on.......
Oppisites attract, where you are weak, she is strong, and vice versa. You should "complement" or complete one another. Your tastes can be different, you can dress somewhat differnt, but to live for God or not to is just not an option.
The quote from Cor. is WAY off base. As stated, it was for a couple who was already married, and either one came to Christ, or one fell away.
It is also correct not to come to Christ for a woman..or should I say..not ONLY because. It must be true and heartfelt. From pers experience, got church with her atleast 3 months, twice a week. Meet with her and her Pastor/Priest. Seek a Biblical marrige class and take it together. Once you have truly accepted Christ as Lord, repented, been baptised, and served for a few months minimal, I'd say go for it.
TRUST ME ON THIS>>>>>> DO NOT GET MARRIED TO HAVE SEX WITH HER, SLEEP WITH HER, OR SO YOU CAN MARRY HER BECAUSE SHE IS A GREAT WOMAN. If it is not true and unconditional love, with and thru Christ, it will not work. (ask me how I know...)
