Tommorrow is my Godson's First Holy Communion and I would like to give a toast at the party after. The problem is, I'm horrible at figuring out what to say.

While I don't want to hijack the celebration and turn the focus away from my Godson, I would like to make my toast a little more Christ centered than the typical "I'm so proud of you" toasts you typically hear from Godparents.

So can some of you help me out? Any ideas?

Thanks for the memories...

Perhaps you could say a bit about your own FC, what it means to you now, and how awesome and humbling it is to see the continuity of the Church in the little ones who received Christ for the first time that day. Now he isn't just your Godson, but your brother in Christ.

Congratulations and many blessings to him, and to you! :)

Peace be with you!

Unfortunately, I'm a revert... I couldn't care less about my FHC when it happened, thus I don't remember too much about it (Sad, I know). I blame a part of it on weak catechesis, I'm just grateful I found my way home on my own. I love the part about him now being my brother in Christ though, I have to find a way to work that in!
