You have made the choice of wanting to accept Him, and that is half the hurdle. There are very few rules that God set up, to accept the salvation offered through Jesus' sacrifice for us.I want to accept Jesus, please help me.

Also, the purpose of this section of CF is for you to ask questions of more mature Christians. So if there is anything specific, ask away!
Is it ok to eat normal meat i.e. meat that has blood in?
I have recently converted and have spent my time reading the OT and NT and this subject is a little confusing. The OT is very specific on what you can and can't eat. In the NT it mentions in a couple of places how it isn't what enters your body that defiles a man it is what come out of his mouth that defiles a body. This suggests you can eat anything. However in the book of Acts Chapter 15 verse 20 it says about not troubling the Gentiles who are turning to God (about the Law of Moses) but it then goes to say that Gentiles however should not eat any food that is ritually unclean because it has been offered to idols.....or has been strangled.....or any blood.
To me then only Halal or Kosher meat has no blood in it yet reading the other Christian blogs on this matter it seems that to eat halal meat is eating food offered to other idols. Doesn't islam though worship the same God? they just don't believe that Jesus is the Son of God?
So in order to follow the NT completely can I eat meat with blood in or do I eat Halal or Kosher?
Thanks
