• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Some people are just natural "clowns", with the God-given gift to be funny. I see nothing wrong with such harmless joking within reason, but (in agreement with Autumnleaf) knowing where to draw the line.

I mean, what would this world be without laughter? Pretty gloomy would be my guess.

I think a person should be able to decipher what's a good natured and harmless little prank and then something that could cause a detriment to someone else. I think if a person would use a little bit of common sense when it comes to something of this nature, then there should be no problem.

Depends on the prank I would think.

When I was a kid I played a pretty sick joke on my mum. I covered my little sister in fake blood and made her lie on the kitchen floor with a knife covered in fake blood for my mum to find her when she get home.

She didn't seem to see the funny side to it. Neither do I 15 years later....

Needless to say I spend a large percentage of my childhood grounded.
