  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I thought this was interesting:

Why Is There Plastic In Our Teabags?

I wouldn't have thought that the plastic 'frame' of a tea bag would wash up on beaches or be floating in the ocean or sitting in composts. My husband and I compost our food scraps and I figured tea bags would break down.

I am going to loose tea from now on, or buying only certain brands.

Don't forget sea salt. Some months ago they said plastic was found in sea salt as an actual part of the salt. It seemed since it was a part of its makeup nothing could be done about it.

I always used to put those in the compost if I didn’t use them for another craft project or toss them . This is something new because I always thought they were paper or cellulose ( rayon)

See, if you drink whisky from recyclable glass bottles you can avoid this problem. Never forget - all Scotsmen are fully biodegradable.
Surely whisky is one of the best preservatives?

It has preserved the incomprehensible accents of Scots for many centuries.
Did you know that when their time is up, those biodegradable Scotsmen actually get recycled into haggis?
