  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I received this in my email box and was interested to know your opinions on this vides on this website.

Thank you.

Planned Parenthood, the billion dollar corporate abortion provider, has taken immorality to a whole new level and is using your taxpayer dollars to spread its toxic propaganda.

A new Planned Parenthood promotional Web site (www.takecaredownthere.org), which targets youth and is called "Take Care Down There," features short "public service" video vignettes which, among other things, promote casual sex, immodesty, homosexuality and even group sex. Please click here to see what Planned Parenthood is doing with your money. For example, one video on this new Web site depicts what appears to be an African-American male teenager relegated to performing oral sex on a white male teenager while another white male (an adult authority figure in a suit) stands nearby giving instructions.
During the 2006-2007 fiscal year, Planned Parenthood received a total of $336.7 million from government grants and contracts. In 2008, $300 million was given to family planning clinics, under the Title X program. These funds were used to service over five million people, a third of which received "care" from a Planned Parenthood clinic. This new Planned Parenthood Web site has again raised the necessity to put an end to the federal government's funding of Planned Parenthood

I don't really know what to think of this site. I think the idea is okay, but I don't know if it will help our teens. I don't like anything that refers to gay activities, but it happens, unfortunately. However, even by suggesting this it puts ideas into their heads at the meer mention of it, even giving the impressions it is okay as long as they use protection. I'll have to think about whether I'll want my 14 year old daughter watch it...

The rate of unwanted teenage pregnancies amongst abstinence preaching evangelicals is higher than the average for the general population. This is due to teenagers from that environment getting 'caught out' and not having taken precautions as nothing was premeditated. Thus, as much as sex education may be disliked, reality is another matter.

Well the real problem is that about 1 out of every 100 teenagers are raised in a christian house hold and then they are pressured by there peer who aren't christian. They want to fit in and not be mad fun of. This very hard for teenagers, I am proof of that. My wife was raised in a christian home and I wasn't. I always seem to tell her that since we really loved eachother then it was ok. I even told her when I was sixteen that I wanted to marry her and told her since God know we where going to marry he would be fine with it. I continued to pressure her until she gave in. But looking back know I think that there are two things parents can do. First is for parents to talk to there kids about it (hers) didn't and my parents. If were told about how GOD look at it and number two is to tell your kids that I don't approve of it and neither does God this a special gift that God has for married couples and tell them that if they do end up doing it to use protection tell them about all the safety issues.

This just shows that the more we move away from God in society there will be more and more problems with this issue. See teenager are living in a society that if it feels good its ok, as long as noone is hurt.

If I were the betting type, I'd bet that I know where that email came from. If I am correct about the source, they tend to overreact a lot in my opinion.

Although I don't personally condone many of Planned Parenthood's beliefs, I can say that many unwanted pregnancies have been avoided altogether because of their sex education and services (and I'm not talking about abortion.) That's not to say that teenagers should be going around having sex, but as we all know, just because you ask (or beg) a teen not to as a parent or close friend, it doesn't stop them from doing as they please. The fact remains that reality is different from what we wish would happen and it does nobody any good to keep their head in the sand about what's really happening. So for that reason, I think PP has some good services to offer, just as they do bad.

However, I owe a lot to Planned Parenthood. Years ago I had moved to a state a long ways from where I was raised. I wasn't familiar with the area yet and therefore didn't know any reputable doctors to go to. I saw one of their clinics and went in for a check-up. I found out a week or so later when tests results came back that I had cervical cancer. If it had not been for them, I could have lost my life. They referred me to a wonderful doctor and I stayed with her until I moved again. So believe me, everything comes with pros and cons. You can't always believe what you hear! Everyone has to make a decision for themselves based on their own value system whether or not they agree with any given thing, place or organization in life. As for me, I don't have to support everything an organization does just to be thankful for the good things they do. That's just my 2 cents :) God bless you!
