• CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Absolutely amazing isn't it?

Mat 7:16-20 "You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they? "So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit. "A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit. "Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. "So then, you will know them by their fruits.

Planned Parenthood Kills Record Number of Babies; Brings in Over $36 Million Profit in 2002-2003
By American Life League
Dec 12, 2003, 00:35

Washington, D.C.— “The hypocritical nature of Planned Parenthood should become obvious to everyone after reading its latest annual report,” said Jim Sedlak, executive director of American Life League’s STOPP International project. “Planned Parenthood claims it seeks to reduce abortion, but its abortion numbers are skyrocketing – over 3 million in its own facilities since 1970. When it opened an abortion facility in Bryan Texas, the health department reports there show abortions jumped a whopping 153%. The evidence is clear. More Planned Parenthood facilities means more abortions.”

Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) has just released its 2002-2003 Annual Report. The report shows that PPFA continues on its agenda of killing more babies – 227,385 in 2002, and making huge profits – $36.6 million last year. At a time when the total number of abortions is decreasing in the United States, PPFA did 6.7% more abortions last year and increased its profits by a disgraceful 300%.

“Planned Parenthood did 115 abortions for every adoption referral to an outside agency and 14 abortions for each prenatal care client,” said Ed Szymkowiak, national director of ALL’s STOPP. “It is amazing that PPFA can even think people will believe that it is not a pro-abortion organization.”

In addition to its escalating abortion numbers, Planned Parenthood had a record income of $766.6 million and the money it received from the American taxpayer reached an all-time high of $254.4 million. Some selected numbers from PPFA’s Annual Report are as follows:

PPFA Income_______________2002 – 2003___________2001 – 2002

Total_______________________$766.6 million_________$692.5 million

Clinic operation______________$288.2 million________ $254.8 million

Taxpayer money_____________$254.4 million_________$240.9 million

Donations__________________$228.1 million_________$190.9 million

Profit______________________$36.6 million__________$12.2 million

PPFA Services_______________2002________________2001

Surgical abortions____________227,385_____________213,026

Emergency contraception______633,756_____________469,578

Prenatal care________________15,860______________15,618

Adoption referrals_____________1,963_______________1,951

(*anyone know how to post a table in here?)

In early 2004, ALL’s STOPP International will release a complete, detailed analysis of Planned Parenthood’s operations based on PPFA’s 2002-2003 Annual Report plus the historical records maintained by STOPP.

I'm impressed; not only is it a repost of copyrighted material, but you've found a source which managed to avoid the use of any non-loaded terms. The statistics presented are not complete enough to be informative. It would, for instance, be very good to know how many people didn't get pregnant in the first place due to PP's advice on that issue.

One of the stupidest articles I've seen in a long time. Funny thing is, one of the worst example in the article is somehting I know about very well. Why is it that the number of abortions in Bryan Texas jumped 150% when Planned Parenthood opened a clinic there?

There were no clinics that offered abortions in Bryan Texas before that! There were no clinics in the whole county.

Lying, manipulative *******s.

And I might add that when my wife was a poor student, PP provided her with free gynocological care and free birth control services. I LOVE PP.

Nothing compared to televangelists!
I will have to give a hearty AMEN to that. There is a Planned Parenthood in my town and the protestors are so ignorant. They stand out there and scream "baby murderer" at women walking in and that location doesn't even provide abortion services. I love how people always say "ooooh look at Planned Parenthood, they're making money off of abortions" Well duh. They're also making money off of dispensing birth control and gynecological exams. While I don't agree with the abortion aspect of it, I think organizations such as the American Life League and STOPP are a waste of time and energy. I don't think PP should get government funding, but why always criticise them just because they provide abortions? They do many other good things as well, such as providing affordable healthcare for women. Gynecologists are expensive and many women do not have medical insurance. It's just like Christians who boycott Disney because they openly admit they hire and provide benefits to gays and lesbians. Let's not focus on all the wonderful things they do as a whole, let's just focus on this one aspect of it and blow it out of proportion. Remove the abortion aspect from it, and you've really got nothing against PP.

Yea after all when you're dealing with numbers like 227,385, it's not murder anymore, it's just statistics. Was it stalin that said that?

So why don't they close their abortion clinics and just concentrate on the good morally sound aspects of their business?

Would you excuse mass murderers like hitler/stalin if they also had given free meals to homeless people? Nothing excuses 227,385 deaths anyone that supports that is plain sick.

Of course if you're for abortion, then it's clear that you won't care if they so had killed 50,000,000 babies, but don't pretend to be against abortion and support such business.

Most of the women in our area that have no health care, don't go to the local Medical Clinic, they charge $70.00 for an office visit and then there is the rest of the expenses to pay, testing and so on. Planned Parenthood does free pap smears, free testing for STD's pregnancy, etc., prescriptions for the pill, free pills for those who can't afford it, and other types of health care for women, breast exams, pelvic exams and so on. Blessed are they who do this work. And shame on all of those religious nuts that want to shut them down for their own selfish holier than thou mentality.

SO DON'T PRETEND THAT YOU CARE ABOUT BABIES WHEN YOU WANT TO SHUT DOWN PP WHERE THEIR MOTHERS GO FOR THEIR HEALTH.

You people don't have any right to tell women what to do with their bodies. Mind your own business.
Hey, check it out:

Women can do whatever they want to their bodies. The issue isn't whether they want to abort their own body or not;

THEY WANT TO ABORT SOMEONE ELSE'S BODY.

Get it?

sociopath, agreed.

you know, i'm always amazed that the people put in charge of determining what is "okay" and what is "not okay" for a woman to choose to do with her own body are all post-middle age men in business suits. what inherent knowledge do these men have that they can make decisions of such magnitude FOR a WOMAN?

Not nearly as much as goes to the extermination of little babies. Hey, sure glad my tax dollars support baby killers! Thanks liberal democrats! Yea!!

Oh wait a minute...

Aren't liberals the ones that shouted "baby killers!" at our American troops returning from Vietnam (a war started, managed, and lost by liberals)?

Why is it now that these same liberals just love the idea of killing babies?

I'm confused, this is why liberalism just doesn't make any sense.

The planned parenthood in my town doesn't even provide abortions, but of course that doesn't stop the fundies from standing outside belittling any woman who walks in.

Without their provision of birth control and free or reduced-cost gynecological care, unplanned pregnancies would be MUCH higher than they already are. When I could hardly afford to pay my tuition and rent I could go to them for cheap birth control, which not only prevented pregnancy but also helped me with hormonal problems.

Protestors can...well...do some things that aren't appropriate for me to say on CF. :D
