If I had paid money for this I'd have gotten a refund then suffocated myself with the money for being dumb enough to buy it.
I saw an ad for this game and it said FREE TO PLAY and Im a curious gamer so I said why not, downloaded it and started playing.
Now...I've played games for many years, some good, some not so good. This is one of the worst games I have ever played. Period. Not like...the worst MMO I've played, the worst GAME I've ever played.
The graphics are mediocre....for eight years ago. The character modeling is an absolute joke, your character walks like a penguin with a saber. You dont actually get to pick your character's name. You pick it from three lists of pre-generated names (First name, middle, and last) and each list is roughly 30 names long.
The controls? Forget it. If you beat a game designer over the head with a keyboard for an entire episode of the Daily Show, you'd still probably get better controls. They aren't intuitive by any stretch of the imagination and the tutorial goes quicker than chocolate cake at fat camp.
The game has massive balance problems, making it almost un-playable. There are some areas where there are thirty or more players stacked up waiting to get at monsters that are instantly slaughtered the second they spawn. The game itself runs slow and choppy, even on a monster machine that can handle games with eight times the system requirements near perfectly.
The viewer interface swings from being basically barren to horrendously over-crowded when opening the inventory. There are few hotkeys for anything. Drawing your sword, opening your inventory, and all similar actions have to be done by clicking on a button at the lower part of your screen.
The voice acting is...melo-dramatic to be generous. While you do get to meet all the important characters from the movies, you get them all thrown at you in the first minutes of game play and you get rushed along so fast you dont get a chance to really take anything in. Its not clear if the original actors were used for the voice acting or if its a basically bad copy of their voices. The soundwork in the game is atrocious, ambient sounds sound added in basically haphazardly.
Add to that the game actually messes with the function of other programs. Every time I've opened the game up, Firefox windows freeze and folders that are open need to be CTRL-ALT-DEL out of.
The best part is that the game isn't actually free to play. The website itself claims the game is free to play...until you actually get into the game and you see that no the game is NOT actually free, its only free for seven days.
In short, if someone pays you to take this game, take their money, beat them to death with the game CD (Or if you get this link emailed to you, download the game, put it on CD, then beat them to death) and delete them from your cell phone, this is the worst game I have ever seen.
