Kudos to ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) for the original idea (The Traveling Camera), I just tweaked the concept slightly.
How it works: A challenge is posted on a certain object to be photographed. The first member who posts the photograph of that object "wins" the challenge, and then gets to choose their own unique challenge for an object someone else has to photograph. And so on, so forth; it continues indefinitely.
It's recommended to quote the challenge you're responding then when posting the photograph, to help avoid confusion. You can also post your challenge in a separate post from your photo if needed, encase you want to have more time to think up one.
Rules:
- You can't accept your own challenge, let other members try instead.
- The object to be photographed must be reasonable and not overly specific. It's best to make it not too easy but also not too difficult to find either - keep it balanced. The object should be something photo-worthy and preferably something out in public, although it's not required. Perhaps like a bicycle, a sculpture, a generic type of animal, an object in your house, etc. Be creative. Perhaps mix up challenges to keep the thread interesting.
- Keep in mind the variation in locations, countries and climates between all members.
- All photos and challenges must be safe-for-work.
- If someone's challenge ends up being too difficult, you are allowed to "bend" the rules for the photo you post. For instance, if they request the world's tallest skyscraper, you can use a perspective shot to make a building look like it.
- All photographs must be taken yourself, and must be taken after the challenge is posted. Cheaters never prosper.
