Granted, we won't be having Phoenix Wright as a playable attorney. This is an RPG based off the Nintendo DS series, however.
We'll have witnesses, a defense and prosecuting attorney, and at the "end" of the trial, a POLL will be created, and whoever votes on it is the JURY. I thought I'd add that for kicks.
Now, here's the list so far... we'll totally make it up as we go.. but I've got an idea for how I want the general story, as well as the set up post, to go.. this will be a simple case, an experiment, so there won't be too many witnesses or evidence.
Attorneys: I need 1, as I will be playing the prosecuting attorney in this one. Sorry, but I gotta keep the story going. This is an experiment, after all. However, Defense attorney, as well as a counsel for him, are two spots that are available. Two brains are better than one!
Decisive Witness: I need 1. Also known as the "eyewitness". When we get rolling, I'll specify details.
Witness:
Homicide Detective (was on the scene of crime)
Also, I need a defendant. A judge is an optional position, but however will be a neutral party and will be an NPC if no one wants to be him.
If it is agreed that we will have a jury, there will be 7 spots available. Those 7 will decide the case. SO you have to CONVINCE THEM..! Anyone who already has a role cannot be a jury member.
So any takers? Details will be better sketched out as soon as people take roles.
For bios, I want this:
Name (make as serious or ridiculous as you want): Example -- Topsy Kretts.
Age: Whatever. Keep reasonable, this is a REALISTIC RPG.
Occupation: You can make up a job, unless otherwise specified. Once we get all profiles in, I can make a story around all the characters.
Case Profile: This merely is information about the person, which is brief. I don't want any "bios" involved, so as to keep pasts and such a secret. These Case Profiles will be viewed by both attorneys, if required. Just to get some info anyway. The victim's profile will be in the evidence list I'll create. Everything involved in the case will be in a seperate Court Record thread. Bios will be posted there for characters.... as in you send me the link via PM, and I'll add them.
An example of a Character:

This will be my prosecutor.
Please let's make this a fun game! And don't be afraid to be ridiculous, as the Phoenix Wright games have plenty of comic relief in them!
I'll come up with Rules for Court later. Also, I will give you other information in regards to your bios. I may give you a base story type thing to follow, but creating the testimonies will be up to you. However, PM me first if you have questions about creating a contradiction for the defense to find. We want the game to progress after all.
P.S. Keep in mind the possibility that I may say your character will be the true murderer in the case. Is it the defendant, though, or is it really another person? You've got to prove that, Mr. Defense Attorney.
