I searched and searched for a similar thread but could not find one so here goes.

For those of you TTC, how often do you get 'phantom symptoms'? Ones that could be passed off as early menstrual pain or the like but we choose to see as pregnancy symptoms?

I have been thinking about this since AF is now 2 days late and my ( . )( . ) have got blue veins on them (which has never hapened before) Yet I am refusing to allow myself to think this might be it - because every other time I have had something like that (increased CM etc) it has turned out that I am NOT pregnant.

So does this happen to any other TTCers? Phantom symptoms...?

I have....I think its all in my head though LOL! We have a 2 year old and it only took one try to get pregnant with her. Well, so far this time, we have only tried once. Now it is nearly two weeks later and my uterus feels "different". I had slight lightheadedness a few days ago, which I also had one day with my first pregnancy. And I keep having a slight cramping feeling (not even cramping....I dont know what to call it), but I had that with my first pregnancy too. I alread took a test the other day.....but I knew it was too early. I dont know why I did it LOL! I'm going to test again on Sunday. I have no idea when TOM is due....I'm not completely regular each month.

Are you late very often? If not I'd advise you to test sooner, it's better to be aware of your pregnancy so you can take care of your body as you should be.

She can still take care of her body as she would during a pregnancy without wasting a test

Well of course, but it is much better to know you are pregnant and far safer for your baby. There are so many things to be aware in early pregnancy, better safe than sorry IMO.

Aw, hugs all around.

If it makes anyone feel better, I just found out this month that I'm pregnant and I had never felt so sure that my period was going to arrive. I had cramps, back pain, tender breasts...it did NOT feel like pregnancy but like AF was going to show up at anytime... but it didn't.

Keep hanging on!
