  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

These threads should help you a bit. There are lots of different views. Mine? We'll see animals in heaven. We don't know the mind of God, just as you don't know the mind of anyone else but you, but we can certainly know someone's nature. Our God is loving, caring, merciful, and just. Especially when you think on how many of these beloveds live cruel lives here on earth, can you look at an animal that plays, cries, feels, shows joy, shows sorrow, shows untainted caring and kindness and then see Jesus simply sending them to dust? Nah!

Blessings,

I know I have heard some pastors say that dog and cats do not have eternal souls and so they don't go to heaven. But I have also heard that in heaven it will be paradise for us, and as Pastor Chuck Smith (Calvery Chapel Coasta Masa) once said, "if having your favorite pet with you in heaven will make it more heavenly then he just can't see Jesus saying no".

If God cared enough for Noah to save him on that ark and he saved animals as well, that meant he had a plan. Since the beginning. I remember a verse saying Have we not known from the beginning that God had a plan. The creator of heaven and earth and all that is. I think the animals will be a part of the new earth.

How can you look in your pets eyes and not see their soul? God uses our special fur-babies for miracles. They have pulled people from fires and waters, warned of seizures, lead the blind, help the wheel chair bound, warned of earthquakes, and had gotten people to follow them to their own home when their owner was to sick or weak to call for help. God loved animals enough to create them before man and to save them from the flood, as another member mentioned. Yes I think they will be in Heaven. But when Jesus comes for his 1000 yr reign, won't Earth still be here? So maybe the animals will be and not in Heaven? Don't know. But I do know that no matter what we will be reunited with them. Jesus said that whatever our heart desires, so it shall be in Heaven. So I will have all my babies with me, thats for sure.

There will be a new earth and a new heaven. There is a scripture that describes the new earth:

Isa 11: 6-9

"The wolf shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them. And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together; and the lion shall eat straw like an ox. And the suckling child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice' den. They shall not hurt or destroy in my holy mountain; for the earth shall be full of knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea."

We have peace to look forward to.

I have never believed that animals have an eternal soul,[wouldn't that be like putting them on an even par with mankind, whom God made in His own image,I think not]and do not believe there is any scriptural basis for believing otherwise, but I don't dwell on it,because even though I have had wonderful, special pets in my life,I know my bible tells me there will be no sorrow in God's Kingdom,so it will not even be an issue ,right? I don't dwell on it at all.

I think there will be animals in heaven. If God didn't love them or feel they were necessary, why would He have created them? I truly believe that in the Garden of Eden God intended for us to have fellowship with all His creatures. It was only when they ate of the forbidden fruit that things changed and animals would fear man and vice versa. Maybe we'll all be able to cuddle bengal tigers in heaven, or play with a tyrannosaurus rex. Every creature will live in peace. At least, I hope so.

There is no doubt there will be animals in God's Kingdom, because the bible says the lion will lay down with the lamb, but when it comes to past pets,I just don't think so. But we place much more value on animals than was ever expressed or shown in the Bible.

Ceedaisy. I am curious, where do you find this in the bible ?"Jesus said that whatever our heart desires, so it shall be in Heaven. So I will have all my babies with me, thats for sure."
