Josh and I just bought a kitchen table (after eating on the couch for 6 months), and I'd like to hang a picture in our kitchen above the table. I remember seeing a painting as a child of an elderly man with a white beard praying. I can't remember the name or artist of this painting, so was wondering if any of you know of this piece of artwork, I'd like to frame a print of it and hang it above my table!

I found it, its called "Grace" and its actually a photograph that was taken in the early 1900's (in Minnesota actually, that's where I'm from) Here's a picture if anyone was wondering what I was talking about. Now I just have to go out and find a framed print so I can hang it in my kitchen!

I am not sure where I've seen it before, I just thought of it when discussing what type of picture to get with my fiance, we wanted to pick something with religious tones so we will be reminded of who we have to thank for the food on our table every day

I love that picture - my grandmother had that in her dining room and I loved looking at it during meals as a kid.

me too, my mother, grandmother, in-laws.. friends.. just about everyone I know has that picture - that one and there is another one with 2 owls on it that I see everywhere.
I think I am going to have to buy a print of this picture for my house
