Perfectly Represented - subject to much change!
V1
Adam, the first spokesman for his decendents
Presented a unanimous vote for independence
We chose to be a rival to the God we represented
And live as if we could be our own God as WE intended
No other man has ever had Eden so presented
Walking with God in a garden heavenly scented
We said no to God and the relationship was ended
In Adam’s fall, we were all perfectly represented
V2
The son, the saviour, born in a cold manger
Treated liked the animals we named when we were favoured
Content with his father’s love, the second Adam was
Pleased to please his God in every act and every labour
Being baptised to fulfil every righteous need
Stooping so low as to be crucified with thieves
Tempted when starving and offered the devil’s garden
Still didn’t sin and sealed us a real pardon
[One more line needed]
Never bowed to peer pressure, remained holy when we resented
And in his grace, we were all perfectly represented
V3
The lights go dark and God’s wrath is filling the earth
He set a time to come and make right the devil’s work
To see if there’s but one righteous with any worth
Among the heathen unbelieving with decieving empty words
Has anyone told the truth for a day
and not let something slide for an easy way?
But someone pays, when a fee is outstanding,
unless we’re just another flock of lizards evolved at random
There’s no lies in God who’s ominiscient and judges rightly
Doesn’t change his ways to pacify the mighty
God looked on his son Jesus, who brought my case
to the gardener, and showed him the land of toxic waste
How I polluted the taste of the water that affected the culture of the human race
He showed this and said “this is my bride, whom I love!”
And God looked at Jesus’ blood and approved of God the Son
Got wants a love relationship with me, and to have me as son for all eternity
True to His word when my death was circumvented
When the Bridegroom died I was perfectly represented
