CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

So do i take this as a yes or no?
My views, i dont think we can be perfect for our whole lives but if we take the decisions to lead closer to god and closer and closer then we will be able to get pretty close. God askes us to, and why ask something if he knows it's impossible???

if it's perfect, how can it be not perfect at something else? otherwise it would not be truly perfect, only excell to the point where it cannot improve more in a particular area.

How 'bout this. Our purpose is to spend an eternity moving towards perfection. We'll never get there, yet will eternally move closer to it. I'm sure there's a math equation for this one, but I've not studied advanced math for too long now.

No it is not humanly possible to be perfect, and those that think they are have some serious soul searching to do. We all fall short in someways, I don't even think it is mentally healthy to try to reach total perfection, I think there are those that demand such perfection in themselves, that thay have a hard time dealing with failure, and this can result in a deep depression for them when they fall short on something.

We will never be perfect, even because nobody knows precisely what that realy means. But is spite of that, I think we should always try to be a better person.
