• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

    If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

    If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. People keep hurting me, should I start avoiding people?

My family hurt me...My friends hurt me.
It seems like everybody I met all end up hurting me.

Should I just stop getting close to people?
I don't have any difficulty remaining polite to people on surface level, but should I avoid estabilishing a deep connection with them?
I feel like the only person I truly need is God, I don't understand why I need to get close to other humans because I only end up getting hurt by them.

That doesn't sound good. One might wonder why this is happening. Surely you have some idea about it. Is there a thing about you that offends them? Are they just all bad people? There is a reason about all this, and maybe it is just your imagination; or maybe you are just a perfectionist and want a better response from people than they normally give others???

In any case, try to smile, speak courteously, honor God and speak much of the Lord Jesus to all you meet. It will be hard for any professing Christians to then speak against you, and they may come to want to be friends. Other people who don't believe in God may also come to respect you for your kindness. I hope you are a true Christian by faith in the Lord Jesus as per John 14.

PinkPearl... If E = mc2 then we can divide and conclude that m (mass) = E/c2(energy / light) and there is a spiritual variety

Energy - Warmth, motivation, love
Light - Faith, hope, charity, joy

And the opposite of this is...

Absolute Zero - Cold, lazy, hatred
Darkness - Fear, Depression, greed, sorrow

In Noah's day the world got so hateful that the bible records these words...

And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. - Genesis 6:5-6

So God destroyed the world and saved Noah and his family. This world is an unfriendly place. The good news is that if we have patience to endure this earth, and keep our faith in Jesus Christ, that we can overcome this world. There will be no darkness of the spiritual variety in the next world for we who are called Christians.

For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? - 1 John 5:3-5

why do you assume it has to be her problem?

people, even Christians, still have sinful natures, and one thing sinful nature is really good at is to identify those who are weak, and take advantage of it. Like a piranha that can smell blood miles away.

Anyway, I hope OP would share more about how people has been hurting her, because we are all eager help.
