  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Unless you've actually had real experience in general workplace practice and economics then you probably will not agree with what I have to say here. But I think the government should overhaul how business pay their employees. They should put together a federal mandated pay scale that lists different types of jobs and a minimum amount of pay rate that goes with them.

People are working their tails off and putting in long hours for next to nothing. And the companies are the only ones benefiting from it. What it amounts to is greed. The only other variable I can see that would work with this is keeping an eye on inflation and the value of the dollar. The system would have to be set up to watch the market and change the pay rate scales accordingly as however the dollar goes up or down. Anyone in favor of something like this?

7 dollars and some change as a federal minimum wage is ridiculous. I don't think there would be many people who would disagree with this.

Then you will get all companies that will raise prices making any raise void. +This has happened many times in the past and yes, there have been many pay wage raises, thats what the minimum wage is, its a mandate. But it does no good.

First you have to pass communism to force companies to sell at the passed government rate, what they decide, then we can breath easy under a forced controlled system. the problem there is control. Hitler did this and look at what happened there.

All the communist countries do this, and look at them, mass killings all the time.

There will always be a hierarchy and at the top of these hierarchies you have a tiny portion of people who have pretty much all of the resources and most people end up at the bottom. One might say oh well that doesn't seem fair, maybe it isn't fair. However it is the best system because it incentivizes people to want to climb to the top and to actually work hard.

We each have 24 hours in a day at our disposal. My question for you is this...

How do they spend their free time? Are they stationed in front of the television or browsing the Internet or glued to a social media platform?

Are they working the entire time and coming home to collapse in bed afterward? Or have they chosen to use their disposable time differently than those who desired wealth?

The system is indeed brutal.

America is a country for big winners. And for those winners to be really, really big, sometimes there needs to be a lot of losers (low paid worker drones) underneath them.

It's a pyramid. I suggest not getting too emotional about it, it will just drain you of energy.

Think about either how you can:

1) Compete in the existing system (find a niche).
2) Leave the existing system (go live in the woods kind of thing).

I am a highly skilled fin-tech software expert and can barely compete in the system. It's very brutal. Literally my businesses ventures will result in a business which is worth between several million - several billion - or zero.
