Pentecostal subforum subjected to SF/PC master list.

I'm sorry, I don't know where else to place this problem to draw attention to it but here.

Currently, the Pentecostal subforum is not designated soley for the Pentecostal type people. The supervisors have allowed our subforum to be placed under the general section "master list" that tries to govern who is Spirit-filled and who is not. What this effectively does is allow anyone who signs up on the master list to come into our forum and argue and debate with us about what we believe. This also allows that person to teach other beliefs that are outside of the Pentecostal beliefs.

This is a double standard in comparison to other denominational sections.

Here was the answer I receive once I vented about this situation,..

I sought guidance on this only a few months back when I was doing some research and noticed that heaps of members without the Pent icon post, debate, discuss and teach in here without any reaction from the Pentecostal icon holding members and always have done it seems. It's certainly never been in issue before.

For your interest, I actually enquired of our senior staff if we shouldn't create such a Forum Specific Rule as in WoF but was told that as long as the members were self-declared Pentecostal and/or Charismatic (i.e. on the Master List) they were complying with the rule as it was and therefore there wasn't a problem.

Sorry.

This standard seems to be gauged by tacit approval rather than establish a even standard across all the denomination sections.

I'm quite upset about this.

For example, I as a Pentecostal, cannot go into the Baptist section arguing about the gift of tongues (nor would I want to impose myself upon our brethren like that), but any baptist that signs up on the general section master list saying that they are Spirit-filled can then come into our denominational section and debate and argue freely with me and other Pentecostals without reprimand whatsoever. They can also teach against what we believe.

In comparison, the Word of Faith subsection has a ruleset that demands that the person have a WOF icon to debate or teach in their section, yet they are not even a denomination, they are just a movement?!?

Again, I'm quite upset how something like this could stand by our supervisors which creates a double standard in our sections. I think that the WOF section should be able to require their posters to have an icon to debate and teach, BUT SO SHOULD WE JUST LIKE ANY OTHER DENOMINATION!

I'm actually quite embarrassed that I have to bring this up somewhere outside of our forum to get anything done about it.
