We are disappointed with our congregation which has women as teachers and recently a woman has blessed with pastoral job/title.

We do not know what to do, because it is hard to go away without a better option and when you have friends. But we want to please God, not people. We want to love Jesus more than our friends. We want to love Jesus by obeying the New Testament.

We have thought we have a lot in common with Anabaptists. We do not know if we should establish a new congregation here or what. We are waiting for the Lord for wisdom. Perhaps this forum connects me with new friends to solve this problem somehow.

Hello simple disciple and welcome to CF I too hold a particular opinion on this topic which isn't all that popular anymore, however we should do as the New Testament says as best as we know how, with all our heart. :]
Bless you friend.

Perhaps you might find some 'help' online; realize though, perhaps not also.
Always seek Yahweh's Kingdom concerning everything in life, and in eternal life,
as He Knows and He Cares.
Remember also "The Master Yahshua (Jesus) Shepherds me...."
and
"My sheep KNOW My Voice" (if not, learn to hear His Voice, in perfect union with Him and perfect Harmony with all of Scripture).

Anabaptist in years past (many hundreds of years, and sometimes maybe not so long ago in some places, we hope),
were the closest I could find in descriptions of people in the Bible serving Jesus.

Home fellowships/ Bible studies/ Prayer meetings are also possible to find obedient believers living in union with Jesus, as Yahweh leads.

Hello and welcome to CF!

I'm sorry to hear that you have issues with your fellowship. Truthfully, if ordination of women is your real objection, your options are going to be very limited.

(I'm not disagreeing with you btw - I would imagine that if women are made pastors or priests everywhere else, they still wouldn't be in Orthodoxy. But there are few who still don't, and growing fewer.)

You might be interested in the forum with Anabaptists - Anabaptists . Or if you're not sure yet, we have a forum for searching for a Church - Looking for a Church . You could also ask in Christian advice - Christian Advice .

This is one I can't in good conscience advise. You're in a very different situation regarding the Church than I am. We would be very opposed to someone simply starting their own Church. But I realize many are in the position that the see no way to fix what they see as broken. I pray God guides you in the way you should go.

And again, welcome to CF.

What's wrong with women teachers and pastors? The Lord once put a woman, Deborah, in charge of all Israel.

Welcome to CF, simple disciple. I too hold that the Bible says women should be quiet and disciplined in the church (and that that applies to current times as well); however, I think I understand much of the reasons that goes into having women as pastors, for instance.

When it comes to splitting off into a new church, I wonder if you shouldn't throw away something that's broken -- rather, try to fix it?

Paul writes it clearly, that woman should not teach men or have authority over men. I cannot take it as "only a cultural thing" after all examination. It needs more interpretation to say women can be pastors than otherwise. Deborah was in the Old Testament. Disciples of Jesus have different authority structure, headship. It is clear enough for someone to understand that women cannot be pastors but some people interpret it differently. I cannot say I know better, and I follow that thing I can be undoubtful in.

Thank you for your message! Yes, we should do our best. And we should not care outside the Bible what we think and what other people think but what is right before God. I have no problem to accept women as pastors, but it seems clear to me that Bible has and I want to follow it best I can. I do not want to follow modern worldly views as I see this issue. I want to do what God has seen the best.

Thank you for the encouragement for home fellowships etc. We might start something soon. But our pastor will be there too I think. He knows that I do not allow women to teach men. Still he ordinates woman. Equally I could say my Biblical view straight. I would like that we could be transparent...

I hope our home fellowship will become something like some Anabaptist/Brethren/Mennonite thing. I just do not like the idea of the new congregation because there is a great risk that I would be teaching and I read from Bible that:
"My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation."

The Lord apparently felt otherwise, putting Deborah in charge of Israel.

The Prophetess Deborah - (2654-2694)
...
"...
Deborah lived in the Mountains of Ephraim, between Ramah and Beth-El. In the midst of the sin and idolatry,

Deborah remained true to G‑d and His Torah. She was wise and G‑d fearing, and the people flocked to her for advice and help. Deborah held court beneath a palm-tree, in the open air. There, where everyone could hear her, she warned the Jewish people and urged them to leave their evil ways and return to G‑d. The entire Jewish nation respected this great prophetess.

Deborah was the wife of a man whose name was Lapidoth, which means "torches." Our sages tell us, that at the advice of his wife he furnished large wicks and oil for the lights of the sanctuary of Shiloh, which burned like torches. Thus, our Sages say, was the effect of this holy woman on everyone around her: spreading the light of Torah. ...

Paul knew about Deborah. He knew the Bible (Old Testament). Paul's letters are fallible Word of God. New Covenant has a new thing: Ecclesia. The briefing is given in the New Testament, and there are some differences between Old Testament life and practices. For example, we do not have high priest anymore, but Jesus is our High Priest. We do not need an arbitrator, because we have the Arbitrator.

Women can teach other women and children. Perhaps we should just have own gatherings for women and men? Would it be some kind of compromise which both sides compl. and egal. could somehow agree in one congregation?

Apparently Paul didn't know about Deborah.
