1 Corinthians 9:19
"Though i am free and belong to no man, i make myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible."

10:33 "even as i try to please everybody in every way. For i am not seeking my own good but the good of many, so that they may be saved."

Paul lived a life to please God, and to please God, He expressed it in his life by loving others and serving others, for:

1 corin 13:4-5
"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs."

for love is not self-seeking. Then a question remains, is this a goal too high to achieve?

if Paul could do it, and the household of Stephanas (v. 15) could, why couldn't we?

a great advice given by Paul here in walking out the walk of love, we have to "v. 13-14: Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage. Do everything in love."
