what makes you passionate? (not amorous :D )

what things draw out your spiritual passions?

for me it is a wounded spirit.... i want to help in every way i can. i can actually see a wounded spirit in someone's countanence. and my spirit is stirred. sometimes all the person has to do is speak a need and my heart is shown ways to reach out (biblically). for me it's also a child without direction.... i want to reach out and be a good adult (biblically) and a member of the church with a need (from helping the cleaning lady to serving in the office). i get passionate about these needs all around. someone frustrated in the store. glass out on the street. my passion has a label: spiritual gift.
passions... what are you gifted with?
when we fulfill these passions we are honoring and praising God. alot of people have a hard time seeing their gift or identifying that God is stirring their hearts. any one want to
give some personal experiance or offer advice? :holy:

This is a wonderful topic. Yet, I'm still not certain what my passion is....after many, many years in the Lord. I do usually "feel" for those suffering from depression and emotional abuse...I have had sooo much ministry from the Lord there in my life.

the word passion could be substituted for compelled or lead or touched etc. your
statement sounds like you truelly have some 'passion' there!
isn't it beautiful that God would let little us minister to one another!

I have quite a passion for seeking the Lord...have been hungering and thirsting for Him in a deeper way than ever before. Don't know exactly what the Holy Spirit has in mind, but the burden to seek Him is very strong.

I have a passion to worship. When in a good group that starts with worship, usually the Spirit moves and heals. I also greatly enjoy praying over people. Mostly it's in tongues (under my breath) unless I am given a word to speak so most of the time I am just another person there in support prayer. When in those situations, and the person you are praying for is standing, it's best to be behind them and in a position to lower them slowly to the ground. Doesn't always happen but sometimes. Lately though we start on the floor.

i have a passion for wanting to inspire greater faith and love of God. If I could ask for one gift, it would be just that. It grieves me to sense how lukewarm everyone is. My gratitude and love for God is so great because of how he saved me and radically changed me and gave me peace, love, joy. I want that for everyone so that they can also be reconciled to God. So I'm not sure what this means. Evangelism? Teaching? Right now all I do is pray for other people and try to encourage them. The response I get is very poor. I sense that most people think I'm bragging when I'm really trying to show them what it's like to be overjoyed to be saved. I think God has a lot more work to do on me before my gifts can be freely exercised.
