  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

...for a mate, in a mate.

I was talking yesterday to a friend of mine who is debating on going deeper into a relationship with this man she's know for years. She made a statement that stuck with me. She wants to have a man for that is my prayer... more passion.

This morning in church as Pastor was reading the main text scripture for today's teaching, Matt 22:34-40. A thought came to my head. I agree, I desire a man who is passionate for me, about me, one who I can be passionate for and about.

Then I though, Jesus is my Husband now, and He IS passionate about me and for me. Only I don't have quite that level of love for Him. And I want to. I love Him, but am not deeply passionate for Him.

If I can not love God with a deep passion, who will never fail me, how can I love a man, a mate, from God, who is human and can?

I want more love and deep passion for Jesus!
