Passepartout's New Changes

It has been awhile since I posted an fan fic but hopefully I will get some time to do more!

This takes place after Jean Passepartout, after being left for dead and with amnesia, met writer Ren McCarren. As well as found out who he really was, the valet from "Around the World in 80 Days" as he now lived happily with girlfriend Ren. As well as his now young daughter Priscilla after getting her away from her mean mom and Jean's ex-wife. But also his friends Phileas Fogg and his family found him in present day DC!

CHATER 1:A New Beginning:

Nearly two years have passed since Jean, still named Passepartout was found nearly left out for dead and with no memory of his own. But now, after going through so much. Only gain so much back. Was living in the DC apartment with writer Ren McCarren, a former workaholic who was married to her job. Only to finally find a new life in her new boyfriend. Passepartout's daughter, Priscialla, now nearly nine, was adjust to her new life.

Passepartout was afraid that she wouldn't adjust to her new life. As she has now. She loved going to school as she was pretty popular with her friends. Despite starting anew all over again. Not just in schools but in life. A new generation and a new change of life. But she fit in surprisingly easy. She was getting straight As in school. Plus she began playing basketball and was a cheerleader.

Ren, really was beginning a serious novel and was about to get her first ever novel published. She still taught youth newspaper writing as did self-defense courses. But now, her attention was on Passepartout. The friendly and generous ex-valet turned popular person in DC. Despite not remembering anything about his past life, not even the classic journey around the world with Phineas Fogg, Auoda, and Wilbur Fix. And still suffering from total memory damage that his ex-wife Madeline infected upon him. That nearly killed him and separated him from Priscilla for nearly a year. Still, he was really happy, and in love with Ren. He mowed the high school lawn and taught French part-time to kids .

Also he got a part-time job helping out at a local store stocking shelves. Since he really liked it a lot. But he knew that he had to take it one step at a time. Since his memory sadly would never come back it seems. As it was like gone forever. Then again, he would be where he was at if it weren't for Ren at all. Ren truely was in love with Passepartout. As he was for her. Despite sleeping in separate bedrooms despite not believing in sleeping with each ohter outside of marriage. They really felt like both were the ones.

Though Ren understood that Passepartout didn't want to rush into marriage after his first disasterous marriage. And she couldn't blame him one bit. Now, Priscialla also became part of her life. In fact, all of her life. As she was head over heels for Priscilla. They did things together like mother and daughter would. If she and Passepartout were to get married, she wanted to really adopt her as her own daughter. Being adopted herself.

Passepartout knew that his life as an acrobat adventurist and being athletic was shattered by his ex-wife's heartlessness and trying to murder him. He wouldn't be the man he was today if it hadn't been for the help of either Ren or Priscilla. He really loved living in present-day DC. Despite not knowing at all his former life. But he wouldn't trade it for the world. As new changes were indeed taken place for him! As well as for both Ren & Priscilla!

Chapter 2:How Passepartout, Ren, and Priscialla Came To Be:

Passepartout knew that he had to make new changes if he was going to be the man of the house! He must learn to act like it and live it. As He taught French at a high school as the kids loved him. As he loved the kids a lot. While also doing his best to respect Ren's new job as a writer. As she sold her first novel on the NY Times best seller list. It was a non-fiction since she does non-fiction.

While also taking care of Priscilla as that was his main goal. Looking after her since he missed nearly a year without her. So he was catching up on what he and his little girl missed! He went to her plays and her ballerina dances. She played soccer along the way. He really felt bad but it was really drifting away. As he was doing all he can. Going out of his way to spend more time with her.

But sometimes, he and Ren needed to get away. As they needed a break from all the hustle and bustle that DC had to offer. They would go on walks, with or without Priscilla. As well as get away on the weekend going to the mountains. Also thanks to the good ole Doc, whom Ren has known since she was a tiny baby. Go back to 19th century England. Ren's childhood doctor would come babysit Priscilla so that the two would spend time together by themselves. Spending time with friends Phileas, Auoda, their children which now included twins to bring the total of kids up to six.

Ren of course, would have to dress up as old-Victorian way. But thanks to sweet Auoda, Auoda gave her dresses that she didn't need as she at first felt uncomfortable but learned to love to wear the dresses as she felt "unique" she and Auoda would kid around. In return, Ren would take her new best friend shopping for jeans, shirts, other 21st century stuff. Auoda learned and loved learning how people from Ren's century loved to dress up as Ren loved learning from the old 19th century.

Priscilla looked at Ren as her mom. And that if Ren had her way, she would adopt her in a heartbeat. But that would be up to her mom, in which Ren thought she would as Priscilla never wanted to think about her mom ever again. Ren couldn't blame her at all. Ren & Priscialla, due to being both Asian-Caucasin features, would have passed for mother-daughter. That is if it were real!

It has been more than three years since Ren found Passepartout bleeding and beaten. And with no memory at all. As two strangers would become friends turned into more than that. As they became partners. Passepartout and Ren both wanted to marry one another. But they wanted to take a wait and see approach. While Ren wanted Passepartout to do it right and not make the same mistake that he made with his first wife, Madeline. As both felt that they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together and forever! But one thing was in the way for sure!

Chapter 3: Phileas & Jean talk Man to Man and What will become of Ren, Priscilla, and Madeline:

Passepartout needed to talk with Phileas as
He and Ren were having them over for the weekend
In their apartment. As the apartment expanded to another room. For Priscilla as it now had three room.
Being the ever gentleman, Passepartout took the couch that had a pull-in bed. As he didn't mind at all.

The Foggs children were there as they were staying at the good ole doctor's place. As he had so much room since his kids were grown and married with families of their own. While Ren and Auoda, Phileas' wife was cooking dinner and the kids were out playing in the playground.

Phileas & Jean were sitting looking at them, keeping an eye on them. Jean says that he is thinking about asking for Ren's hand in marriage. But he wants to do it right. Phileas knows that even though they have dated for two years over. Passepartout was shy into asking for marriage.

Especially after how his wife treated him and Priscilla. But knowing that Ren loves him and is so mad about him. And that he is so mad about her. But both wanted to get to know one another as friends before taking it one more step and beyond.
"I really love her a lot!" says Passepartout as tears were about to drop down in his face.
"Ren, Priscilla, just really made me the man that I am! I want us to be officially a family.
As well as not just get married, Ren adopting Priscilla as her own daughter. But having a child of our own!
But I want to really make sure...."as he didn't know what else to say.

Phileas seemed to know what to say as Passepartout lost his train of thought.
As even though he calls Passepartout by his surname, he also called him by his first name Jean as he finished the sentence for him.
"I know Jean, as you don't want to make another mistake. But believe me, you will do the right thing!" Phileas assured his ex-servant turned best friend.
"Monsieur Phileas"(Passepartout still calls people Monsieur or Madam as respect of treating others with that)I want to make sure that this is right.
Really make sure not just Ren, but also Priscilla, whom considers Ren really as her mom, to accept you into the family! But my ex-....."
Phileas put his right hand over his friend's shoulder knowing that Priscilla was still Madeline's mom. But his ex-wife didn't treat her like she was her own. But still has her name there, which poses as a major problem.
"Passepartout, I will make sure that she(Madeline)has nothing to do with her, you, Ren, anybody! Despite Ren never meeting her nor would she want to meet her as she has heard all of the stories and cruelness Madeline put you and Priscilla under!"

Phileas went one step farther, That he didn't want to see his friend ever hurt again, either physically or emotionally as back in 2004-2005 brought the worst year. Not just for Passepartout but the whole entire Fogg family.
"I will go to Mr. Fix(Wilbur) and see that both of us will do our best to see that she never has anything to do with you all again. It won't be easy since she is bullheaded and stubborn. But at least, she will never bother you, your little girl, nor our family ever again. That Priscilla is now Ren's world. And Ren wouldn't know what to do without her. Like you did!"
"I know Phileas, I know!"

As the women called for supper as Passepartout asked Phileas not to mention this conservation to either Ren, Auoda, and the kids until things were straighten out. Passepartout kept high hopes. "We shall see now won't we?!" He thought as they washed up for dinner!

Chapter 4:Girl Talk as Ren is Anxious for Something More with Passepartout:

As the family that used to be separated by a cruel woman a few years ago. Enjoyed a much, much more close relationship and a stronger family tight unit. The kids, though they don't see their "Uncle Passepartout" as they used to. Have come to terms with him trying to find a life and start anew. As the Foggs six kids, with twins that are nearly two, and their adopted and biological kids. And Passepartout's daughter Priscilla loved playing with one another. Whether in the 19th century or the twenty-first century.

As the men went and sat down and talked. With the kids learning about the internet as Priscilla got her love of computers from Ren. As the kids aren't familiar with stuff like Ipods, computers, video games, etc. As back in their time, they have no technology yet! But boy, do they love it.

As Ren & Auoda, Phileas wife, are cleaning up the hearty meal of roast and veggies that they had. Auoda tells Ren that she looks at both her and Passepartout. As both of them are definately meant for one another. They both look and giggle like they are teenagers. Ren feels that she is so lucky to have someone that understands. As well as someone with she could relate too.

"You know Ren, I think that Passepartout, would be lost without you!" says Auoda as Ren knew that she was right.
"Auoda, without him, I know that I would be lost too. Without either him or even Priscilla, I love that girl so much. If I had a child, I would want a child like hers. That is when we get married, if we do get married, I want to adopt her as my own."
"I think that you both are meant for one another. And that you both love each other as well as love Priscialla and try to include her in anything and everything. Which tells me something about all three of you all!"
"True Auoda, true! I just want Passepartout to take his time and I want to take my time. You know do it the right way! Make sure that we don't make a mistake and....and...."

Then, losing her train of thought, Ren stopped herself as she thought about one thing that is in the way....like the men thought one thing was in the way...Passepartout's treacherous ex!
Auoda reached out her hand to Ren's. Knowing that despite Passepartout & Ren have talked about marriage. They want to make sure that this is right. Knowing both are marriage and commitment shy.
Both have talked about it with a pastor as both want to make sure that they stay together until they depart by death.

When the time comes for marriage, then they need to do it right! They want to do it with not just each other but with Priscilla's permission as they did the best to include her in anything and everything as the three think of themselves as a family.
Auoda says "You both will do so at the right place and at the right time I know. Just like me and Phileas did as Phileas thought he lost that around the world bet. But with or without the win, had we not met each other, then we wouldn't be husband and wife. Nor would we have those six beautiful kids of ours!"
Ren shook her head and hugged Auoda. Given her encouragement!
"I can only learn from the best my friend! Like you and Phileas. As I know things will be ok as long as we do the right thing!" whispered Passepartout, looking lovely at her boyfriend as he was playing with his daughter and the other kids with Phileas looking on!

Chapter 5:Trying to Figure out Things & What will Become of It:

Passepartout and Ren, while the Foggs were getting ready for bedtime stories and all of that.
With Priscialla over there, decided to have a few moments alone. As the good ole Doctor Shaw brought the Foggs in his still going strong time machine.
It would be their last day as they would be going the next day.
School time for both the Fogg children and Priscilla.

As Passepartout & Ren sat down with hot cocoa in their hands. Ren and Passepartout talked about things.
As they were getting a lot of help and counseling from Phileas and Auoda. On when they should marry. They would marry that's for sure. But it would have to be when the time was right and came right for both of them.
Because they seem in no hurry to rush. Though both wanted so deeply to marry. But they were trying to sorth out things. And what would become of it.

"I just can picture us growing old together Jean! I wanted to grow old you and me. As well as have our own children and grandchildren.
Can't picture the thought of being alone and all by myself!" warmly said Ren.
Passepartout took her arm into hers.
He wanted to be with her for the rest of his life.
"I know what you mean Madamoselle Ren! We have been together for two and a half years. Maybe we ought to think about marriage. I mean, I want to do it right way, you know. Mean something to both of us as well as Priscilla." worried Passepartout.
Ren knew what he meant! As she knew he made a big mistake with his first wife and what happened in the process.

She knew he had been through a lot. But also knew that he wanted to get to know Ren as she did him as friends and something more later on.
As their relationship has gone from strong to much stronger, lovingly, and tenderly.
"I know you want to do things right. And I don't blame you Passepartout! We just have to take things one day at a time. Really not rush into things, you know."
Passepartout could sense that she was right.
"I appreciate you understanding Ren! That was my problem from what I heard about Monsieur Phileas. That even though I have no collection, my ex didn't understand nor did she wanted to at all I am afraid to say. With you, I feel like a man as well as you being understanding and caring."

He took it one step farther with her.
"I wished that there was a woman like you in the world.
If there was, the whole entire world would be full of understanding and even better.
I don't know what I could and would be without you." as Passepartout about choked.
Ren saw the tears in his eyes as she laid on his arm and returned the compliment.
"I wished that there was a man like you in the world Jean Passepartout. The world would be better because of it. As I think that I don't know what I would do without you at all. I love you and you mean the world to me!"

With that, he held her and kissed her like never before. As they held each other so tight that they never wanted to let go. As Priscilla saw both Passepartout & Ren cuddled up, they asked her to come cuddled up with them. As the three of them cuddled up like a family.
Phileas & Auoda didn't want to interrupt as the three just held each other all night.
"You will make the right decision my friend Passepartout! I know you will! Because you are just a good man!" silently whispered Phileas.
And with that, everybody fell asleep at peace with one another!

Chapter 7: Priscilla and Passepartout, Daughter & Father, talk about Ren, Marriage, and Madeline:

A few days later of friendship, fun, and togetherness, it was time for the Foggs to go back to their century as them and their six kids said good-bye.
As they promised to see Ren, Passepartout, and Priscilla to come back and visit more often. As the three say that they would come and visit them back in their own time soon. Time flies when you are having fun!

But before the Fogg family left in Dr Shaw's good ole time machine, Phileas and Auoda both got respectedly, Passepartout and Ren together. As both told them that they would make the right decision and choices on when the time comes.
As both Passepartout & Ren want to do the right thing. But they also felt that both needed to involve Priscilla and ask her of what her own opinion should be.
Phileas whispered into Passepartout's ear saying "Mr Fix and I will try to handle Madeline. Now don't you worry about her Passepartout as we(Fix & Phileas)make sure that she never, ever is in the three of your lives ever again!"
Passepartout knew that Phileas is a man of his promise no matter what occurs, Phileas was there for his friends and family!

When they left for a few days, Passepartout gave it so much thought for him, Ren, and his little daughter.
When Ren was away on a business trip for a few days, Passepartout had time with is little girl. Which was good as both loved to have time together. And to make sure that they weren't too busy from time with each other.

While making dinner, both of them decided to talk as Passepartout was the first to bring this up in front of his daughter.
"Priscilla, I was wondering sweetie(as she looked up), what would you think if I asked Ren to marry me?
How would you really feel about it!?"
As she looked lovingly up at her father she then took his hand into hers.
Knowing that she loved Ren as well. She thought Ren was more of her mother!

"I think that you should do that daddy! As I love Ren as much as you do! You both really love each other enough as you both have been together for two years and more! I don't want to think of Ren as my stepmom but as my real mother!"
"You think so sweetie!"
"I know so daddy! As you both love each other a lot. And that you both were meant for one another. As I think that I loved Ren from the moment I saw her when I was reunited with you that day. When I thought that I lost you!"
"Honey, I thought that I lost you as well. But without Ren's help, your Uncle and Aunt and Grandparents determination and passion, I wouldn't be here with you fixing dinner!"
Priscilla, who was a daddy's girl, from the beginning with her being a baby when Passepartout picked her up from Japan and was the first to hold her as his ex didn't want anything to do with her or for that matter, him.
"I want you to know daddy, I would do anything for you and for Ren as well. Because, you both mean the whole entire world to me!"
That really helped Passepartout a lot as he knew that she and Ren loved one another the moment that they saw one another. She then continued.
"I know daddy that it took you a long time to recover from all that happened to you. Being separated from you was the worst thing you could have ever experienced. And since you don't know much as you told me that all you want to remember is the present and all of that.

Passepartout motioned for his daughter to come near to him as she did as he hugged her.
He about had tears in his eyes as he was known for wearing his heart on his sleeve.
"You know honey, I may not ever remember the past at all. But then again, what really matters is my family. Foggs, you, Ren! Because that is all that I need and want to remember."
As Priscilla went to kiss her daddy on the cheek before eating dinner and saying grace."

She also went one step further.
"I know this may sound cruel, but I don't ever want to be back with my mommy. The mommy that nearly tore our famly apart and separated us for nearly a year. As I never want to see her again! Never, ever, want to see her again. How I missed you being with me and hugging and holding me. The fun times that we had she tried to make me forget. But now, I hope that this never, ever happens to our family ever, ever again!"
Passepartout didn't blame her at all.
"I can assure you sweetie, that both of us will never, ever be separated again. And that she ain't your momy as far as your Uncle Phileas, Aunt Auoda, Grandpa and Grandma Fix, Ren, and your daddy are concern.
You and I are safe here. With Ren, as she loves you just as much as she loves both of us. You can be assured of that!"
"Daddy, I love you more than you ever know!" as both hugged one another with tears welled up in Priscilla's father's eyes and her yes.
"I love you more than you will ever know sweetie, more than you will ever know!" as they sat down to grace and to eat.

Chapter 8:Real True and Sincere Love & Passepartout getting advice from the good ole Doc & News about Madeline:

After work, as Passepartout and Ren,
Who returned back from her trip went walking.
As both decided to have some free time together.
With Priscilla spending some time with a friend
At her home. Both were holding hands while
Walking in the park. But they have always held hands.
Showing their true love and affection towards one another.

They went and shopped at a mall. As it was Christmas time. Really both them and Priscilla didn't want that much.
As all they wanted was just to be together. Though they did want a few things like clothes.
But other than that, nothing matter more than if they are with family.
When they walked through the mall, seeing older couples that have been married for more than fifty years. And younger couples that were either newlyweds are bound to get married.

Both then decided to shop alone for an hour or two. Passepartout then went to see if he could find the perfect engagement ring for Ren.
As he wanted the best for her. But if he couldn't give her that ring.
Then, he should ask for advice. He thought of none other than the good ole Dr Shaw.
As he went looking for engagement rings as a diamond stor. He called him up on a regular phone.
Both he and Ren couldn't stand to be around cellphones and don't use them at all. Unless if they did, they would use one for family and an emergency.

The Doc was happy to help on the phone.
"Son, if I were you, you need to buy her the best ring that fits your budget.
As it doesn't matter what ring you buy. Just as long as you mean well. It doesn't have to be the fanciest.
Just one that you can send to her to keep forever.
But boy, you need to inscribe it with something that will mean so much to her."
"Monsieur Shaw, I want to give it to her on Christmas. To involve her and Priscilla around.
To give her the best Christmas present ever. Or should I do it on Christmas Eve?
When it I think would be really convient!"

The wise ole doc told him to give it to her in a candlelight dinner at a restaurant.
As well as do it outside a place where it would mean well.
"Son, you need to do it when if you can get a violinist together. And that you need to tell your daughter about it. So that she could be in on the plan ahead of schedule. Be prepared you know!"
Passepartout asked what romantic restaurant would be the best.
Dr Shaw told him about the best romantic restaurant.
"OK, I really appreciate it Doc! You really have helped me so much."

But Dr Shaw had one more than to tell Passepartout...it was about his ex-wife.
He had great news for him. As Passepartout, sat down next to a chair as he was about to get that engagement ring for Ren.
"Phileas & Mr Fix went to see Madeline at a jail where she is serving time for Priscilla's kidnapping and attempted murder charges what she did to you!"
"Yes I am listening Doc!" wanted to hear Passepartout.
As Dr Shaw continued..."She has severed all ties with Priscilla and with you" as he told Passepartout the whole entire story.
"Mr Fix told her that either they could go to court, which a win would be impossible for her.
Or that she could severe all ties with you, Priscilla, and that she would never have contact with you all.
Meaning that Ren could adopt Priscilla as her own! And that I will talk to a lawyer about adoptions. Both of you would go through a background check. But everybody knows that you would never, ever, do anything bad. And I think that you would win the case against her!"

Passepartout, with tears in his eyes, thanked the doctor really heartfully. As he had been wanting to hear that for two years about.
But those two years have been like a lifetime for him, Priscilla, and for most of all, Ren.
Ren really wanted to adopt Priscilla when the time was right for marriage.
So now, they are close to marriage, that is the best news that the frenchman has heard ever!
After all that had happened three years ago.
Passepartout hung up on the doc and thanked him all over. But the doc told him that he needed to hear some good news for once out of his life and the two women that mean the most to him.
Passepartout then went and shopped for that ring...wanting to make Ren his wife forever.
But also the three of them can be an official family forever...and ever!

Chapter 8:Good news about Madeline and Priscilla:

Passepartout and Ren are driving home as Passepartout hides the engagement ring he will give to her on Christmas.
As he will talk to Priscilla about it. But he has to make a cover about it. As he does with Ren was gone.
She not knowing, that he talked with Dr Shaw about the engagement ring and what has become of Priscilla and Madeline.
For he wanted to tell her that Dr Shaw talked to him while he and his daughter were making dinner.

"I got some good news to tell you Madamoselle Ren while you were away!" Passepartout, who was doing the driving.
Ren, who was about to doze off, saw that he had great news beaming in his eyes and voice.
"What is it sweetie as you sound very happy!" She then leans on his arm.
"Well, Priscilla & I were making dinner and...."
"And...?" asks Ren.
"Dr Shaw called me up and told me about Madeline. As Philease and Monsieur Fix went to visit her in prison."
"Uh-huh I am listening honey!" Ren awaiting the good news as the suspense keeps filling up.

"Madeline has agreed to severe all ties with not just me but with Priscilla! Meaning that you and I can start the legal work in adopting Priscilla!"
Ren was as excited as he was and is.
Knowing that it took two years to hear that after Madeline didn't want the two to adopt her at all.
He told Ren the whole story.
"Phileas and Wilbur told her that if she kept on being bullheaded and not wanting us to adopt her.
Then they would have to take her to court. And that a victory would be guaranteed.
That she would have no contact with you, me, and most of all Priscialla. The whole ten yards.
And that both guaranteed her that we would win.
Knowing how horrible and mistreating she was to Priscilla!"

Ren, who was about in tears, as Passepartout put his arms around her.
He told her that he talked with the doctor for a good over an hour.
"That is the best news I have ever heard in such a long time Jean! But we need to hire a lawyer to get the paperwork done shouldn't we?"
Passepartout knew that the doctor was on it.
"Dr Shaw is already on it honey! He has hired an adoption lawyer and will talk to an adoption place.
He also has the certificate that Phileas and Wilbur had Madeline signed to make sure that it was legal.
And that she gave up her rights to forfeit to become a mom."
Ren has said since that she has always wanted to adopt Priscilla.
"I have loved Priscilla from the moment I saw her. And that those horror stories of what Madeline did to her. I mean, someone needs to be her mother. As well as her father. I have been wanting to adopt her for some time. In fact, from day one. As I fell in love with her more than she did me!" But she had one more question to ask him.

"But how, I mean, Madeline was staying in the way of us adopting her! What made her concede. Because the pressure kept on building you think?"
"Oui(Meaning yes in French!)Madamoselle Ren! Because she just wanted her own way. And plus, she did all she could to make all three of our lives miserable. I may have done silly things in the past.
But even though, I will never, ever be able to remember them at all for the rest of my life.
To be honest, I really don't want to remember them at all!"

Ren didn't blame him for not wanting to remember anything of the past. As he considers everything he did in the past that!
He wanted to put his past behind. And that Ren sought that she would help him put his past behind him for good.
"I don't blame you honey. And if I were in your shoes, I probably wouldn't want to remember that part at all.
As I would want to remember the good things like that trip you made.
Even though you may not remember it anymore, at least the Foggs and Fixes and your nephews and nieces that call you Uncle Passepartout.
See to it that you never lose sight of it!"
Passepartout saw how beautiful Ren is not just on the outside but on the inside.
Same for Ren when she saw Passepartout! As they begin to pull in the driveway.

Chapter 9: Priscilla hearing and reacting to the Good news about What is to come and May come of it!:

A few days have passed since Passepartout and Ren
Got the good news from the Doc that the couple can
Go ahead and plan for Priscilla's adoption and to
Plan for much more. Like Passepartout's proposing to Ren as when she talked to him, he could sense that she was wanting to get married.
Being together for two years seemed plenty.
Also though, they wanted to do it the right kind of way. The old-fashioned and romantic way!
Priscilla was home for the weekend before Christmas was to begin.

Passepartout needed to talk to his daughter right away.
As he picked her up right after school.
Plus, because everybody and everything has been nuts trying to get settled in.
So both of them went to the place where they meet at a hangout to get hot cocoa and milkshakes.
Since Priscilla was dying to hear the news but also that Ren was trying to get the loft decorated and the tree all up.
So she stayed so that both of them could have some time together.
Priscilla being a daddy's girl and Passepartout doting on his precious girl.

A father-daughter time with the two.
Then Passepartout said to her "I decided to ask Madamoselle Ren to marry me, if that is ok with you!"
The suspense was no longer needed as it drove Priscilla and even Passepartout crazy.
Priscilla really was jumping up and down and that
She was really happy to see that finally, both of them would be getting married.
But before she could say anything anymore, he put his right index finger over his lips.
Saying that it was a secret between the two of them.
Not even Ren could find out about this.

Passepartout continued on.
"I am going to propose to her on Christmas Eve
At a romantic candle dinner at a restaurant.
As I want you there with me sweetie!
Because I know that you think of her as you mommy.
You can't say anything about it to Ren.
I talked to Dr Shaw about it. As he made some suggestions and since he is good at that.
I decided to take him up on it!"
Priscilla, who looked up to Dr Shaw & his wife as like her grandparents, really seemed so happy and excited about the upcoming proposal and nupitals.
"I have been wanting you & Ren to get married for such a long time daddy. Though I know that you don't want to make the same mistake like you did. As I don't blame you one bit.
I have been wanting you to marry Ren probably since the day that I saw her."
She then continued...."That I am glad that you want me there as I thought you would want to do this by yourselves. Just you and she alone!"

Passepartout put his arm around her shoulder and says that they do things as a family together no matter what happens.
Ren agrees with that. They do their best to involve Priscilla in almost everything and anything.
That she needed to be there in order to approve of the marriage coming up.
She went to hug her daddy as that was like a huge yes in approving the marriage.
"Daddy, of course, I approve of you two. I have loved you two together for such a long, long time. Like forever! Finally, you both are going to be together!"

He had something more for Priscilla coming up.
"Honey, I was wondering..."
"Yes, daddy what is it?"
Passepartout paused and said to her "Ren and I talked about this all the time. And that when we decide to marry, we want to adopt you into the family.
Meaning that from now on, Ren wouldn't be your stepmother but your real mom.
As you keep telling her that you wished that she was your mom! Ren really wants you to be her daughter like I want that for her!"
"But what about Mommy, what happened?"
Passepartout's face came up close to her.
"Your mommy that treated you so harshly, she has decided to severe ties with you, Ren, and me!
From now on, she will not have anything to do with the three of us. It will just me the three of us!"
"Meaning that we can become a family officially?" asked Priscilla with tears in her eyes!

Passepartout, wiping away the tears, gently said "Yes, that means, the three of us will become a family officially! The Doctor has an adoption lawyer as he has been on it.
Working on the papers for me and Ren to adopt you.
Legally becoming our daughter!"
He explained that the lawyer says that was an 99% chance that it will all go smoothly according to planned.
That touched the sweet girl of Passepartout's inside out.
Plus, she added onto it.
"Daddy, I always thought that you and Ren were my family. Even before the adoption officially begins.
Ren is my mommy. I don't look at her as a stepmom. But as my real mom!
Regardless of how that Madeline, whom isn't and never will be my mommy ever again, feels!"
Passepartout, nearly in tears, kissed Priscilla by the cheeks. Only could mustered the words "I know sweetie! I know!"
Knowing that the three can now become an official family.

Chapter 10:Jean & Madeline Face to Face finally and Closure for Passepartout:

Passepartout & Phileas were there in the 19th century:
Jean was dressed in 19th century clothing as Ren was there with him, dressed up in the same.
Priscilla was staying with her cousins.
As Phileas & Wilbur asked Passepartout if he wanted to go through with this.
Fearing that she hadn't changed her ways, unlike the ex-womanizaer Frenchman, who had changed his ways for the better and beyond.
"I have no choice you two! I have to get this over with. This has been driving me up the wall for nearly four years. Need to bring closure to mine and Priscilla's lives.!"
Ren agreed with him "It will bother him for the rest of his and Priscilla's lives if there isn't any closure for both! Understand please, Phileas & Wilbur!"
Wilbur warns both of them that she hasn't changed and that she never will unfortunately. But Passepartout still had to see her nonetheless.


The four made their way to the prison where Madeline was serving a hard time sentence at the women's prison.
The guards then told them to be seated as Passepartout made his way to the glass to see his ex-wife. While the three sat at the bench. Seeing him as
Madeline came, as she was in prison garbs, her hair messed up.
And the heavy drugs she was taken, really has her weight shrunk because she was skinny as a skeleton. She knew that she really hurt very much Passepartout & Priscilla.
For she didn't want to look up at Passepartout but Passepartout didn't miss a beat as he cut to the chase and laid it on here big time!

For the way she made both he and Priscilla separated from each other. Missing one another and that feared that both wouldn't see one another again.
"You nearly ruined my life, my daughter's life. And if you don't want to look up to me, fine!
But you will listen to what I have to say! If you look up at me or not. You nor anybody else will never, ever ruin our lives again. Had not Ren found me nearly four years ago, I would had been in a morgue and Priscilla taken into a foster family or two.
But thank goodness she found me and reunited me with the Foggs, Fixes, and most of all, my daughter!"
Still no answer from Madeline because she has had her chances and blew them.
"I may have done some crazy things in my life. But I put the past behind once I became not just a husband. But definately a father. Priscilla was the only thing I had to lose. And why, even though at the time I didn't know about it. The reason I was living for.
Had I never seen her again, I would probably die inside out." Referring to his still total memory loss in the process.

Madeline acted like and Passepartout knew that she didn't care.
But she did speak up to him at once.
"Look, I don't care what you and our little girl does. She is now your responsibility as you, Ren, and she are on your own. I really loved you a lot. Really I did Jean!
But you wanted to have a child. And I didn't!"
Passepartout wanted to strike back but knew better off not to hit a woman.
Phileas nearly had to restrain his ex-valet. But Ren, gave him a look like, Passepartout knew better.
Then he relented and gave in.
"She isn't your child anymore. She is mine child and will be Ren's child as well when we get married, whenever that is.(Knowing that Ren doesn't know that he will propose to her!)"
"Fine marry her, adopt Priscilla! I really have no control over the three of you since I will be in this prison until I rot here! See if I care indeed!"

Passepartout knew that she would never, ever change at all. And that was fine with him and Priscilla.
Really Passepartout, no matter how many times he nor anybody could try to change her. She would be her stubborn and bullheaded self.
"You are darn right that you will never have no control over her, me, nor anybody else. You just care for nobody except yourself.
As long as I live, I never want to see your face or hear fom you ever again! As well as Priscilla as I am doing this for her sake most of all.
How dare you used my child against me. Hurting me is one thing but hurting my child, you better, never touch a finger on her or I will take you down big time!"
All Madeline could do was nothing but laugh at him in the face despite the harsh tone in his eyes and voice.

Passepartout told Madeline that Priscilla thought that he had to take care of some "papers about the adoption" though Phileas, Wilbur, and Doc Shaw were working on that.
But felt that seeing Madeline and trying to bring closure to his, Ren's, and Priscilla's lives were most important that he see her first.
He closed with this. "I am praying for your soul my friend. And that hopefully you will change but I doubt it!
You always have used me as I did the best to change my ways for you, me, and most of all, my little girl.
I say my as she is never going to be your child.
After what you did to her and mistreated and severely hurt her! I feel very bad for you! Go in peace my friend! Take care of yourself!"
Madeline couldn't take anymore and without saying a word a with that, she called a female guard to take her back to prison as she went back hastly as she can.
The others were shaking their head side to side as Passepartout put his head in his hands. Leaving the prison with the others, know that he did all he could. Hoping to find closure for him and most of all, Priscilla.

Chapter 11: Ren shares the Good News to Priscilla & the Past that Passepartout Left Behind Forever:

Ten days before Christmas, Ren decided to share
The good news to Priscilla. As she took Ren out
Shopping and eating. While Passepartout was
Making dinner at the loft. Priscilla loved
To go shopping and former "hate to shop" Ren
Loved going shopping with her and Passepartout.
As they were eating some snacks, Ren revealed the
Good news to her. In fact the truth as to seeing Madeline in prison. Priscilla didn't know it at the time
That they were actually seeing her soon to be ex-mommy. Because they were afraid to scare her Ren said.

But felt that they needed closure
so that all three could move on with their lives.
"You know honey, we didn't want to tell you for fear that you would be scared and that your mommy would do her best again to separate you and daddy.
But we needed to find some closure and to get things done."
"I know Ren, I know why you did it!" says Priscilla who was smarter than her ten years suggested.
"But Priscilla, your grandpa Wilbur suggested it as we were reluctant to tell you the truth.
He thought about you and we figured it out that he only was concerned for your interests. Didn't want to have a scene. So that is why your daddy & I wanted to talk to you about this. As he thought I would be the best person to take you out here. Woman to woman!"
"Yeah, woman to woman! I know Grandpa Wilbur just wants to best not for me but for you and daddy!" answered Priscilla.

"To make this long story short, Madeline has given up all rights to being your mommy. Meaning that she can never be your mommy ever, ever, again. By doing so, she has cut all ties with you, me, and most of all, daddy.
They got a lawyer to make sure she agreed to this. Your daddy has the documents in case you want the proof and truth that we did this." As Ren's eyes were dancing.
But the ten-year old didn't need proof.
"I don't need proof on a document to see that you all don't want ties with you know who(as she promised and vowed earlier to never mentioned her mommy's name of any kind ever, ever, again).
You have showed it with me. And how you both treated me and the love you give for me. That is proof enough!"

Ren then reached out and hugged her as they were finishing their snacks.
"We both want you to know that we want nothing to happen to you nor anything to ruin your happiness as we just want you happy sweetie! That's all!"
Ren gave her a huge kiss!
"I know Ren and you aren't my stepmom as you are my real mom no matter what occurs nor happens. I want you to know that!"
"I want you to know that too as you are my real daughter and will always be my real daughter."
When Ren told her more good news!
As the Doc is getting a lawyer to make sure that
She gets legally and officially adopted.
Because Ren told her that is what the Doc is doing.
Looks like it was going to be really good of Priscilla having Ren as her real mommy.

"The Doc is getting that attorney to help us with the adoption papers. And that we will have to sign them. And have you present with us to make sure that this is what you want and..."
"You know it is Ren! You know!" excitedly says Priscilla.
"You know what things your dad can't remember in the past like the womanizing, drinking, and all of that before he wisened up and became a family man?"
"Yes I do and glad that he did change his life for the better despite all that had happened to him!"
"Well, that thing is buried in the past. And that uncle Phileas & Wilbur made sure that it wouldn't go against him. Plus, it would be best that he didn't remember that at all. As he needs to move on with his life. Make sure that he doesn't ever remember it.
Because if he did, that would really worry him.
I just don't want him to ever, ever, worry again!"

As they were getting ready to leave to go home, Priscilla told Ren that she never wanted him to worry ever again and to bury the past!
Concentrate on the present and future!
"He just needs to really concentrate on the positive honey. And not let bad things happen to him.
Plus, stuff like the 1800's really are is new to him like me and you despite living back there. Since his memory loss has changed him and those around him like us!" reminded Ren.
Priscilla knew what she meant as she didn't want her daddy to remember that for his sake and that he has been so hurt before. She couldn't stand to see him hurt anymore like it has happened in the past.
"I just want the best for daddy and for you Ren!
Just to make sure that we never, ever separate again!
That we will be here forever! I love seeing my daddy happy. And love you both being together."
"I know honey! I know!" Ren only could mustered as they drove towards home.

Chapter 12:Adopting Priscilla and Passepartout's Blessings:

Passepartout, Priscilla, and Ren went the next day
To see how the adoption lawyer that Dr. Shaw
Inviting them to went well. They heard he was an
Awesome adoption lawyer and has not lost a single case
In his nearly thirty years trying to help couples, mainly
Childless ones adopt. And he saw no reason at all
Why Ren could adopt Priscilla into her name and become
Her real mommy. Even the adoption lawyer didn't know Passepartout's real background of him being from the 19th cetury as the Doc and Ren only knew and decided to keep that a secret.
All he knew was that he was found on Ren's doorsteps, clinging onto life and with total memory loss. But found him to be awesome in the community, a loving father and doting boyfriend.
Both were dressed up in a suit, and dresses.
To make themselves know that first impressions are always important.

He also found Ren to be an upstanding citizen and really works well with kids.
Plus taking care of Passepartout while he still was
Because according to adoption laws, that no parent should have a criminal record at all. Or that would terminate the grounds of trying to adopt.
Despite Passepartout's womanizing and drinking past, he didn't have a criminal record. Plus, he stopped both about over a decade ago.
Still, despite doing investigation on both he and Ren, the lawyer found them to really be upstanding.
He wanted to see Priscilla first and asked if that it was ok that she did that. Because he wanted her opinion first and most importantly foremost.
She was shy at first but with milk and cookies, she opened up and was down to earth with the kindly, fatherly lawyer. They talked for nearly an hour.
Then he called both Ren & Passepartout in.

"I know you both to be really upstanding and that of all the wonderful things said about you two.
You both have a 1,000% chance of adopting Priscilla as Priscilla & I talked very long.
She seems really fond and wants the idea of adopting you Miss McCarren as her real mother!
Even though we needed to do a background check as it is standard precedures.
And with your background in law enforcement.
See no reason the courts will say no at all!"
"I have heard nothing but good things about you from Doc Shaw!" says Ren, not to come off overconfident.
"Well, you can thank your Doctor friend as we see no reason not to deny your qualifications in the adoption process." said the lawyer.

When Passepartout saw him go through the paper work and there was lots of paper work.
He asked the lawyer "How long will it take for us to adopt Priscilla in Ren's name do you think counselor?"
The lawyer looked up and he says that "It won't take that long as it should be done by the end of this year hopefully. After your ex-wife produced the documents and that she lives far away in England.
Plus, we had the FBI make sure that those were her real signature and that they were.
I say by the end of the year, you should have Priscilla officially yours Miss McCarren!"

Passepartout breathed a prayer and that they want to make it the best as possible.
The lawyer continued.."I know that you have had a pretty rough few years Mr Passepartout. And that all you want is nothing but good news. You have a lot of guts to keep on living.
Plus, this young woman, had she not found you at all. You would possibly been not here to hear this great news to come. But also that your daughter really wants you both to be happy. She is one really wise and beautiful child that is wise beyond her ten years.
She keeps it up, she can and will go very far!
You are very lucky and you should count your blessings my friend each and everyday. Because they could be your last."
Passepartout could chuckle lightly and only agree whole-heartedly.
"I know Monseiur! I am very lucky to have her and this woman in my life(Motioning towards Ren). If it weren't for her or living for Priscilla, I might not be here today at all! I am indeed very lucky to have these two wonderful gals!"

The lawyer thanked them and escorted them politely as they were walking down the pavement. Nine days away from Christmas, eight days from the big proposal.
Passepartout couldn't stop thinking about the words that kindly lawyer told him.
That he should count his blessings each and everyday. Because those blessings would be his last at any given moment. Nearly three years of living a nightmare.
And not even living to see it. The lucky Frenchman should consider his blessings lucky and beyond.
Because now, good days were upon Jean Passepartout!
The lucky fellow with a loving girlfriend and doting daughter!

Chapter 13:The Man becomes the Master & What has happened since Passepartout became a 21st Century Citizen:

Passepartout was for so long the Valet
Of the famous Phileas Fogg and that
He never had a place to call home. That
Is until fate found him with Ren McCarren.
Had not she found him, he wouldn't be alive
At all. Not only did he find a way to live and
Be so lucky to be alive. But also to be lucky
In love with his now girlfriend and hope
Soon to be wife. After his disasterous first marriage
To his treacherous wife. With whom he never wants nothing to do with ever again.
But he found his doting daughter with whom deep down
He had to live for something. Not just Ren.
But for a little girl that he almost came close to losing.

Eight days from Christmas and seven days from the big day.
Passepartout wanted to make his life right.
And most of all, he wanted to be the man of
The house. But he needed to prepare himself in
Order to do just that. Because he needed to be
Not just a friend and later on good boyfriend to Ren.
But also an awesome dad and get reacquainted with
His daughter. And that she very much still loved him.
Even if he didn't remember her, she indeed remembered
Her daddy as being just the way he is. Amnesia or not.

A lot has happened since Passepartout became a 21st century citizen back in early 2005.
He had to go and visit a physchologist. Helping him
Adapt from the 19th century world in Paris, London, to the 21st century one in DC.
Despite not knowing everything at all from his childhood to his now present living.
It was like someone took an eraser and wiped clean
His memory and all of that.
But that didn't seem to mind him. As he just wanted to not forget the past. But live in the present and in the future. Because what was in the past was just that!
His life now revolved around two ladies.
That was all that mattered to him.

He also still walked with a limp. Not as bad as it used to be when he nearly died. Even though it wasn't as bad as it used to be.
Still, he walked with a limp that would prevent him from running like his younger, acrobatic days in the circus.
His body still muscular and big from those exercises.
Have been replaced with walks and light jogging.
Plus, some karate from Ren. Whom he loved as a teacher, not just as a lover and a friend.
The good ole Doc Clay Shaw told him that he needed to
Take it one step at a time. And that he needs to not overdo it. Knowing deep down, he could never be what he used to be.

He also spoke a little slower.
While going to therapy still in order to correct his movements and his brain and speech.
He goes to theraphy once a week but back then
It was like three to four times a week.
Still, he was like a little kid. But he also
Began to do grown-up things. He got a job
Teaching as he helped the kids at a local high school
Taught French as they loved the good ole Frenchman.
He hated it that Ren was the breadwinner in the family.
But that is how Ren was born. Being independent though stubborn at times. But her parents taught her in order to lesson of the value of a dollar. Meant hard work comes good things.

Priscilla and Ren have helped him out a lot. As he prepared to take the step into marriage and being a better soon to be husband and father.
Plus he and Ren hoped to have a child of their own one day.
For once, he didn't have to be told what to do as a valet. But this time, he was in charge.
Not just of his house but to take control of how his marriage to be would work for him and Ren.
Also his daughter growing up and not getting any younger though she was ten.
Because he wanted her to grow up with good and morale values.
Even though she can be anything she set her mind too.
As Passepartout was daydreaming through the window before dinner was called.
On what his new life would be like in a few days!
Marriage, kids, the home, a great job, the whole nine yards. It was almost there and things were looking up for Jean Passepartout!

Chapter 14:Ren's hoping for a big thing from Passepartout & Things to come:

Seven days from Christmas and six days from the big proposal from Passepartout. Ren was driving to work.
When she was working, she knew that she wanted
Passepartout to propose to her. But just not right now
She thought from him. Because she didn't blame
Him for waiting. They have been friends for three and
A half years and now going together for two and a half.
They would wait as long as they made sure that they
Didn't make any mistakes. In particular from what happened to Passepartout in his first marriage.
If he could wait, then she could wait as well.
Knowing that the proposed engagement could come
At anyday at anytime.

They both talked about marriage and hoping to have a child of their own one day.
But they don't want their biological clocks ticking.
Because Priscilla is now ten and won't be getting any younger. Plus, now that they can adopt and start the procedure which looks really good and well.
Just all they need is an engagment, wedding planning, and the big day of the wedding to come!
Ren who used to be married to her job.
Now was looking for a bright and better future.
As she had in her picture frames both her boyfriend and her daughter to be.
She is reminded that life can flee and that life is indeed precious.

Everybody was stunned to see her that used to not have a life. Now have a life in a heartbeat.
They kept trying to tell her that she was very lucky and privileged to have two people that love and care for her.
But also she loved them and care for them so much.
That she would give her life on the line for those two.
"I know" was all that she could mustered in telling others about Passepartout & Priscilla!
Thanks to two people with whom she considered really why she was living and breathing.
Not her job but those two people meant the world to her.
She didn't expect to have a boyfriend and a soon to be daughter as that was the last thing that she expected.

Riding home from work, she could see the DC snow. And how it was about to snow.
If the city was lucky, they would be having a white Christmas.
She planned to take off for a week after Christmas. She never was a person to take off or take a vacation though she thought weekends were enough.
That is until Passepartout came into her life.
She then got out of the car with her stuff. And there Passepartout and Priscilla awaited her as always with welcomed arms.
She loved it when they welcomed her with open arms.
As they also loved it when she welcomed them with open arms.
Yep she was really lucky. As Passepartout also gave her some good news along the way!

"I talk to the adoption lawyer as things are processing very fast. And that
He says that we could begin the adoption papers
And sign them. That is all to it. And soon, Priscilla
Could be ours. If and when we decide to get married!"
"That is awesome honey! I just want to make sure that everything that used to be bad is now going to be out of the way. Now that we won't ever have Madeline in the picture anymore!" Ren said very excitedly.
When she kissed Passepartout on the cheeks!
"I never expected things to go very fast as they are!" says Ren.
"I know honey, I know! As Priscilla really wants this more as much as we do!" softly said the Frenchman!

Priscilla was getting the ice out as dinner was about ready.
As Ren went to change into her jogging pants.
Passepartout looked at his soon to be fiance turned wife.
That he really thought she was so beautiful. And so giving of herself when they met four years ago.
Adopting Priscilla is going to be the best thing ever!
But the best was yet to come.
As the icing on the cake would really nearly complete their soon to be new family officially!

Chapter 15: Passepartout's rehearsed proposal and Doing the Right Thing:

The young frenchman needed to propose
To his soon to be fiancee but wanted it
Done the right way and the romantic way
He had his daughter and Doc Shaw in there.
As he needed some advice on how to propose
To her as it was Six more days til Christmas
And five more days until the big day.
He wanted this to be right the first and
Only time. He needed to go to someone
That would see to it that it was right
The first and only time. Who else but
The good old Doc Clay Shaw. But
Wanted to involve his doting daughter in it.
When Doc Shaw invited them both to his home and office to help!
He was gladly there to help them both out!

Doc Shaw helped him as he
Kept calling him son or boy, like he always does.
For someone as wise and well beyond in years.
"Son, if you want it done the right way,
Make sure that you are dressed to your
Very best as the first impression is always
Your last and that it is always to be your best!
Get your hair cut. Get you a shave.
Wear some cologne. Also dress up like your
Wore your suit back in the 19th century.
That would really be a knockout to her!"
Passepartout was getting used to 21st century
Phrases and all of that. As he is now used to
Living in the 21st century. But still had those
Impeccable 19th century manners."

"You think that Madamoselle Ren
Would really love it like that because I just
Want to do the very best for her! Want this
To be one very special occasion for her.
I was thinking either a suit or a tuxedo.
But now since you mention the suit I wore
Back in the 19th century, that would be much
More better!" the young Frenchman agreed with the doc!
Even Priscilla Passepartout agreed with both men.
"Oh daddy, I think that Ren would go really wild
For you in that. Why don't you wear you bowler hat with that! Would make it go awesome!"

"You think that it would honey?" Passepartout lovingly asked her.
Doc Shaw couldn't agree with her anymore.
"Jean, if you really want to have the best proposal
For her and that she will really remember this as a night to remember, then go all out!
That is what you really want to do for her.
If you love her and that she means so much to you boy!" says the doc as he patted him on the back very hard!"

Ren later learned the other day that they had reservations but Passepartout wasn't tell her as only he and Priscilla knew where they were taken her.
That is was to be one of a kind night.
Just the three of them. No hassles. No deadines.
Nothing between them. As this was just an evening
For the three of them. That they needed this
For a long time. As the three were at Doc Shaw's office, learning what is the best way to propose to Ren.
And how it will all play out. As the reservations were made about two weeks in advance.
Glad that he made them at the restaurant that the doc picked out for them.

Then as they left, Passepartout thanked the good ole Doc, as the doc told him over fifty years ago.
Another young couple did the same thing as they went to the same restaurant as the young man proposed to his soon to be wife.
That young couple was that of course, Dr Shaw and his wife.
"Remember this boy, do it right! And you will be married as long as me and my special one was over fifty years ago!"
"I will Monseiur Shaw! I will! I owe you a lot!" As Passepartout and Priscilla left his office!

Chapter 16: A Much Needed Holiday Break Coming & a Thing called "Family!":

Well it was now five more days til Christmas
And four more to go
As Passepartout, Ren, and Priscilla need
A much taken break over the holidays.
Priscilla would be out of school for a week and a half.
Ren and Passepartout would be out for two weeks.
As Ren was trying to get a story done soon.
Also the Foggs and the Fixes would be there on Christmas Day.
Helping open the gifts and getting late lunch there with Turkey and the trimmings.

While warming the fire and drinking hot cocoa and listening to music, Passepartout and Priscilla were all giddy.
About Ren receiving the surprise as that they

In the proposed dinner and even greater proposal.
Ren was making popcorn and the three listened to music.
Passepartout and Ren have been going steady and

The young couple heard from the
Adoption lawyer as the adoption looks like it will
Be ready for them to sign until they get married.
Knowing that now, his ex-wife was finally in the past
Meaning she was history. No longer, will she
Ever be involved in their lives.
"You know, after all the bad things that have happened Jean, good things are looking up for you!" warmly said Ren as she held onto her boyfriend.
Only Passepartout couldn't agree anymore.
"You are right about that Madamoselle Ren! After all the things that have happened in the past.
Things are looking up. As I couldn't have done it without either you or Priscilla at all.
If I didn't have you two, I probably would be left facing them on my own. Who knows how things would had been if I faced them alone?"

Passepartout warmly gently cuddled up to the both of them.
"That is why you have family sweetie. Because the way I look at it, you shouldn't face your fears alone!"
Priscilla says "That is why you have both of us daddy.
Knowing that we never gave up hope looking for you.
After so many months, nearly a year to look for you.
I thought you wouldn't be alive at all. And I nearly died not just missing you but holding onto you and just really nearly, losing hope in finding you alive!'
Passepartout made sure that never, ever happened again.
He looked lovingly at his daughter. Gave her a couple of kisses on her cheek. Knowing that he would be right there with her and Ren.

"Honey, you know that I would never leave you for anything at all. You mean so much to me.
And that you and Ren are the reason that I am still here with you both!"
It is a thing called family honey!" gently said the doting and loving dad!

Chapter 17:Sooner than Ever and the Planning Stages:

Passepartout knew that the planning
Was a lot but it was turning out to
Be funner than expected. With four days
To go til Christmas and three more days
Til the big day. As he was getting the menu
And the preparations for the table dinner planned.
Along with the big carrot diamond.
Ren wasn't much for jewelry but this one
She will make one great exception.
Because this will mean so much to her for all of her life.

The non-drinkers would make
A big exception and toast with wine while
Priscilla, who usually drinks water and/or tea
Will be having a rare soda. As the three
Drink and toast to a special occasion.
Passepartout has his 19th century suit out
That he wore back then. Ren would have
On a red velvet with black slash dress.
While Priscilla wore a green with black slash dress.
The dinner would begin at 6pm and the music
Would be jazz and classical! Until one particular
Song would be to where the roses and the ring
Will be there to propose

With the adoption papers going
Sooner and faster as it will be signed when they
Get married officially. Priscilla couldn't wait to
Call Ren her mommy as she considered Ren her
Real mommy and that Passepartout can't wait
To call her his wife forever.
Knowing that she put up a lot while caring for him.
Despite still having memory loss, what he wanted
To remember the most, is the special day that
He would propose on Christmas Eve!
That after having all that was so bad for him
And his precious daughter, something good came
out of it! Very good!

That he would be planning to propose
And ask his best friend and girlfriend to be
His soulmate forever! The three of them would
Be in London in the Foggs and Fixes time as
Only Phileas would know of the proposal.
Nobody else until Christmas day!
Because both he and Philease trust each other
As best friends. In the past, it used to be man and master.
Now it was friend to friend!
Passepartout could only look as how beautiful the restaurant setting was. And is and wants it to be that special day!

"I know that Ren doesn't ask for much!
All she asks is for friendship! But I want to give her the best that special Christmas Eve to be remembered by.
In order to make sure that all three of us
Will remember as long as we live.
That it is mine & Priscilla's way of saying thank you to her and all that she put up with me.
In helping me and Priscilla to restart our lives all over again after so many past troubles.
Now things are going to be good and will only get better!

Chapter 18:Revealing the Plans to Phileas and What May Become of It:
Passepartout, Ren, and Priscilla decided to
Go into Doc Shaw's time machine and visit the
Foggs and Fixes of the 19th century.
As it would be only for the weekend.
Three more days til Christmas and
Two more days til the big proposal comes.
The families had a great dinner of turkey and ham
With the trimmings and the pies as Auoda and Mrs
Fix went and fixed the food.
The families couldn't wait to spend about the week with their DC 21st century counterparts.

Passepartout & Phileas Fogg
Decided to go and have a man to man talk.
As they went to a nearby bar. And had some tea and talked on the good times.
As the delightful ex-valet turned good friend revealed to the Englishman Fogg about his great plans of proposal.
Saying that the timing was right and that
They have been together for two and a half years.
Knowing that they wanted to make sure that
This would really work as Ren has never been married.
So she wanted to make her first marriage her last.
Phileas really loved that the proposal would take place outside a candlelight dinner and with beautiful music.

"I am sure that you will make an awesome proposal Jean! I think that Ren would really love that. Think you both are meant for one another!" said Phileas to his trustworthy friend and sidekick sometimes.
Passepartout could only agree with him.
"Just want to make sure that everything goes off without a hitch.
While I hope that this upcoming marriage will be
The last time I ever wed. Plus, not like the disasterous first one!"
Phileas put his arms around the soon to be fiance.
Knowing that he picked a very special lady in Ren.
Also, most importantly, that his little girl, considers Ren her real mommy.

That the adoption papers will be processing through. Plus, the day that they wed, Ren willl have Priscilla as her real daughter.
Now that everything is picking up roses for the three of them.
Phileas though offered some advice to Passepartout.
"Let me give you a word of advice my friend!"
"Certainly Phileas!" Passepartout listened intently.
"Make sure that you both have the time together. To really get to know one another. Two and a half years you both have been inseparable.
Plus, you both have a lot in common despite you living in the 19th century and she in the 20th century.
But still, the most important thing is that you love one another enough to spend the rest of your lives together.
Look at me and Auoda as we have been married for over fifteen years and six children later!"
"You & she seem to make your marriage last forever and make your love for each other work!" Passepartout took those things inside of his heart!

Phileas continued on as he really wanted this to work for his Frenchman friend.
"That marriage is never to be taken lightly or for granted. You both have to make it work 100% each.
Not one over the other! So whatever you and Ren do, make it work.
It won't be easy to maintain a marriage. It takes a lot of work on both of yours parts. So whatever you do, no matter what happens. Please, make it count!
Not just for Priscilla but for Ren, and most of all, you my friend!"
Passepartout could only agree with Phileas.
"I know my friend! I know as it will take a lot as well as really so much love on the both of ours parts! That marriage takes so much. But it is well worth it! Really worth our love and time. We just both want to spend the rest of our lives together!

Passepartout kept Phileas advice and really wanted nothing but the best for his new family.
Despite both of their living in different centuries.
Phileas and Passepartout still relied on one another.
Knowing that Phileas wise advice still has a place
In the Passepartout home.
Passepartout kept all of those things inside of him.
Knowing that they will be vulnerable not just for when he proposes and gets married. But during the rest of his life with Ren and with Priscilla!

Chapter 19:Two More Days til Christmas and One More Day till the Big Day:

Passepartout, Ren, and Priscilla were
Back in the 21st Century DC Time
As they were awaiting the Foggs and Fixes
In their time for Christmas.
Plus the biggest proposal would be coming
Tomorrow as the three of them cleaned up the
House and they waited for the Foggs to come.
While they went to church service at night.
All three were waiting the great holiday of all.
But Passepartout & Daughter were ready
For the Biggest proposal and gift that Ren
Would ever receive!

Both would be at 5PM at the
Dinner reservations. Making sure that
There were no intrusions. Just the three
Of them. Ren really thought something
Was up but didn't want to question
The Frenchman and his little girl's thing.
As they must be up to something. She
Probably knew what it was but was
Afraid to say something.

They then sat there and listened to Christmas music as they knew they wouldn't be listening to that anymore come after Christmas.
The presents were under the tree, the loft smelled like aroma.
The house was perfect as their guests were be there
All through the week.
Priscilla could stay up late as she didn't
Have any school for awhile.

Passepartout remembered all that Phileas
Said to him, to make sure that everything
Does indeed go off without a hitch.
And that this is one romantic dinner and make
Sure it is intimate as much as possible.
He knew that despite them being married for years,
Phileas and Auoda wished that they would had
Made their engagement more intimate and romantic
Like Passepartout is going to do with Ren.

All three of them would have the best Christmas Eve ever. And that the three of them
Were ready to go out since usually, the thrifty and frugal couple would make an exception.
To splurge all they could and can. As Passepartout
Carried his little girl off to her bed to sleep.
He gave her a good night kiss on the forehead.
He couldn't wait for the next day to come.

Ren turned off the music and the lights
To make sure that there was no fire.
So the two went their separate ways as
She would be sleeping in her room and he
Got the bed. But one day, they would be
As husband and wife, together in one bed.
They just couldn't wait at all!

Chapter 20:The Biggest Night and Biggest Proposal of Jean Passepartout & Ren McCarren's Lives:
Well today was the big day as Ren would be taken the week off in a pretty much slow work week.
Unusual for the newspaper she was working at.
As she tried to keep up with her work. She tried
Not to take off on busy weeks or when they had
A breaking story going on. But this week was something else. As she came home from work pretty early.
Then she changed into a very pretty colorful dress.
Priscilla, who had been at Dr Shaw's house, wore a colorful dress to match the Christmas colors.

Jean Passepartout wore like his 18th century suit that he wore when he was like a valet.
But this was going to be a special occasion. As also the biggest night of the three of them's lives.
He put the engagement ring in his right pocket to be put in the plate of dessert later so that Ren wouldn't get suspicious.
Reservations were being made plus, there would be no cellphones anywhere. As Ren doesn't use a cellphone at all. Making sure that this night would be nothing but extraordinary.
The three of them headed off to their restruant designation.
While the servers seated them and the waiters were ready to serve them.

Music was playing as it was jazz music.
That was Ren's favorite music. They started with the salads. Usually the couple don't drink since Ren doesn't drink and Passepartout gave up alcohol for ten years after become a family man.
But tonight, they would be making an exception.
They drunk but tried to limit it.
Then the main encourse of veal, vegetables, and other good food of roles begain.
They said grace and began eating. Priscilla, who had been also to some nice places, never been to a nicer place that her father picked.
As they both can thank Dr Shaw over the place.
The Frenchman owes it a lot to him.

As they ate as as all three were enjoying themselves and ready for the chocolate mousse.
There would be something in the mousse for Ren.
She then thought there was some mistake.
But there was no mistake at all.
She saw a 14-karat diamond. A real one.
As Passepartout then went by her side. And proposed to her.
She was all in tears as well as really just so excited.
Priscilla was in tears also.
As he got down on one knee to propose to her.
"Madamoselle Ren! I always have loved you.
I have always loved you since the day you found me in your lot that August day in 2004.
Had I not found you, I wouldn't be alive.
Nor I wouldn't be able to locate my daughter had it not been for you.
You have done so much for both of us.
We both want you to be ours forever and hope that
You will want us to be yours forever.
You mean the world to both of us.
Priscilla considers you her real mom and that she wants you to be her real mom forever.
As she loves you so much with all of her heart and soul.
As I love you with all of my heart, all of my soul, and everything. Will you marry me? So that we can spend both of our lives forever!"

Ren then saw as he put the ring on her left ring finger! She then nodded softly and said..
"I want to be yours and Priscilla's forever.
You mean the world to me both of you as well.
I fell in love with both of you since the day I saw you both! The stranger I once thought you were turned out to be my best friend and lover.
As that daughter of yours has really become my own daughter. I want both of you! So the answer is a big and awesome....YES!!:
Then the restaurant announced their engagement as Passepartout asked for her hand in marriage and asked for this first dance as an engaged couple!"

Ren then asked Priscilla to come, as also Passepartout as they danced to John Lennon's "Woman" as the restraunt clapped and applauded as they danced.
First dance more like a family. Because they were a family. They were one step closer to marriage.
All three of them agreed to never separate or be apart at all.
They then toasted by saying "To the Three of Us, Bond by love and family!"
Because they were indeed family!
As they rode hom all night, kissing one another, and enjoying the night.
This would be a night to remember for the rest of their lives.
Until that wedding would take place!
But they needed to take it one step at a time!
