Will President Trump pardon Maxwell?

  • Yes because she is dangerous to him

  • Yes because it’s the right thing to do

  • No because that would implicate him

  • No, too much media attention

It has to be an option for him, I guess. I see no reason to think he wouldn't offer a pardon if he felt it would help him. He has the inclination and ability. I still don't understand why he's panicking. Either it's really bad or he's not very smart, both of which are live possibilities.

Personally, Trump pardoning Maxwell would be extremely suspicious. While he has been known to pardon the guiltiest of the guilty--even making them ambassadors to foreign countries and giving them other perks (Jared Kushner's father), this would be the reddest of red flags.
A commentator said today that if Maxwell perjured herself with the Deputy AG any previous plea bargains or reduced sentences would be rescinded and she would get additional penalties....On the other hand, if Trump pardoned her, she would be immediately released.
So who would she make a deal with? Would she tell the truth for a reduced sentence? Or lie for Trump to get pardoned completely?
Disclaimer: I realize that, despite evidence of an extremely close, lengthy friendship with Epstein, there is no evidence currently out for public consumption that would definitively prove that he participated in Epstein's teen parties, this is my opinion.
Based on the fantastically lengthy list of crimes, misdemeanors, misdeeds, and mistruths surrounding his life since 2016, she could set up a stack of Bibles six-foot high and swear he wasn't on the list, and I wouldn't believe it.
Saying he isn't on the list and getting pardoned makes him look worse.

Trump’s lawyer Todd Blanche has met with Ghislaine Maxwell. Will Trump pardon her if an agreement can be reached?

President Donald Trump was asked on July 25, 2025, if he would pardon or grant clemency to Ghislaine Maxwell. His response was that he had not considered it but noted he was “allowed to do it.” Specifically, he said, “It’s something I haven’t thought about. I’m allowed to do it, but it’s something I have not thought about.”

He had not even considered it.

If Trump said it's something he hasn't thought about, it means he's been thinking about it a lot.

One rumor is really bad - not that he was a "client" but a participant in the business side. If that were true, then the panic would be more than justified. But at least for now, that is only an internet rumor. From CNN:

There is no evidence that Trump did anything wrong or illegal in his interactions with Epstein. But days of stalling by the White House and new disclosures drove speculation to a fever pitch over their relationship in the 1990s and early 2000s, long before the wealthy financier was charged with sex trafficking and abuse and died in prison in 2019.

The frantic confluence of events Wednesday underscored Trump’s failed attempts to put a lid on the Epstein drama, the most serious challenge to his authority over the MAGA base in either of his administrations. In fact, the storm is now gathering its own momentum, and it’s increasingly hard to see how the president calms it.

Apparently she has verifiably perjured herself twice in the past, even more reason to distrust her if self-interest beats honesty.
Would it be in her self interest to blackmail? Sure.

I'm not an expert on US law, but wouldn't Ghislaine lose her 5th amendement right against self-incrimination if she accepted such a pardon?

I do not know. But me personally, she should not be pardoned for her role in this stuff. However the woman could be sitting in positition to blackmail anyone. Current and future presidents.
