Paradise is not as pleasant as you think...​

In Arizona, in the midst of a national forest, a small town called Paradise welcomes guests of all types. It is the perfect little town, quaint and rustic, and the perfect place for a vacation in the midst of a busy life. It is quiet and far from the general civilization - maybe too quiet, and too far away. ​

Something dark is in the small town that seems all too perfect. Very dark. ​

When the sun departs and the night comes, the real darkness strikes, taking life under the cover of shadows. Life is taken in a brutal manner, and the townspeople are not exactly cooperative. ​

Drop by Paradise, if you wish, but there is no turning back...​

Paradise.
This game is writer-driven, which means that it is more so a collective writing project rather than an actual game. You will most likely love this idea if you love writing, suspense, or if you simply have a good imagination. ​

There is only one call for players, so sign up before it is full. ​

You may be pretty much any type of character, but one thing I will not allow is anyone of any type of real rank - in other words, anyone higher than a simple news reporter. Your motives do not matter...whether they be just a simple vacation, a turn on the wrong road, or an attempt at the next news story...​

The Rules
The rules have been divided into sections, for ease of reference during play.​

(1) How to Join
(1.1) Please do not join this RPG is you are not serious about it. You must be able to put some time in to keep the game going - you could call it a commitment. To me, it's more of an addiction, but that's not important now...
(1.2) In order to join, you must write a bit about your character. I'd like to hear a little about your character's family, his/her job, etc. Note that you may, by all means, have the character bring his/her family, and you may give bios on the family members, even though they will be NPCs, or you can just say "he has a wife and two daughters" and leave the rest to me.
(1.3) DO NOT POST INTO THE ACTUAL THREAD YET! Post all out of game stuff in here...in the OOC, including your character.
(1.4) Links are your friends. Post the link to your character, not the character itself. Thanks
(1.5) Once the game begins, all of the players will be asked to write their opening posts, so be thinking of why your character has come across this little town. ​

(2) RPG Rules
(2.1) No controlling other characters including NPCs. You may only have one character.
(2.2) Third person posting . . . italic thoughts . . . "dialogue in quotations"
(2.3) NEVER take it upon yourself to kill or effect any target that is not under your direct control. You may not assess damage, death, or even whether the attack or otherwise hit its mark or not. This applies even to inanimate objects. INSTEAD: post in a manner of simply attacking or starting the effect, but leave out the effects of the attack or otherwise. Leave that for the player that owns the character, or for me if the character is an NPC or an inanimate object. ​

(3) Other
(3.1) Technology -- The date is 2007.
(3.3) Genre -- Paradise is a suspense rpg, with a bit of horror mixed in.
(3.4) Romance -- Romance is encouraged, but keep it clean.
(3.5) Violence -- Violence and gore do not really have any limits, but don't go farther than you absolutely have to.​

(4) The Golden Suggestion
(4.1) Warning -- It may be a very good idea to play this game with the lights on. And with this rpg, I actually mean it. LOL, I'm kidding. Maybe....​

For this roleplay ((providing I have time to join... I'm not sure I do)) I'll probably use Raina, who's in the Tournament of Champions right now as well. >___>

But... She won't have fox-ears or a fox tail, since this doesn't seem to be that type of roleplay, but she'll live on the streets and stuff ((I'm too lazy to make up a family)). >__>

Thank you I really like Raina, and yes, the only thing that doesn't fit with this rpg is her cat-ability (I forgot what you called it) and her weapon. other than that...love it! Now, if it's not too much, may I ask a couple questions? What is her occupation and did she come with any family members (I can create their bios)? Glad to have you aboard!

No family members. A brother, yes, but she doesn't know where he is. He's 19 now. His name will beeee... *thinking* Asoin. :3 Yeah. Uhm... short kind of spiky brown hair, about six feet tall... kind of skinny, cuz he used to live on the street, too, but now works and stuff. *nod*

She won't have her weapon, either. :3 At most a pocket-knife ((thing... I forget what they're called. The one with like everything in it. :B)) for looottss of stuff. You know... cuz it's got like everything. |D

Just to let you guys know, I'm gonna give people a little more time to join. I will have the beginning post up wednesday night, or thursday at latest.
