A little bit but if you want to play you deal with it. besides its a short sharp momentary pain. I charged a guy Saturday playing woodsball and my other friend I hadnt seen popped up and shot me about 15 times about 10 feet away. I had a T-shirt and army shirt on and I barely felt it. except he hit me in the side of the leg. that one hurt a little bit. its about 3 inches across is red and about six inches away from it my leg has turned blue. If you get a gun get a High end Spyder or a Tippmann 98 Custom (make sure its the Custom not the regular 98.) or a Tippy A-5. or if your rich and wanna play speedball get an Angel or an Autochopper. otherwise an A-5 is a great gun. normally they should cost around $240. with a kit with a mask and such $300. 98 customs you can get kits off of Ebay for $125. you can get them at wally world for $175. or your local pro shop for whatever they sell them for.

oh and one more thing. make sure you know who your playing with. make sure they play fair. a lot of ppl will "wipe paint" meaning they get hit and wipe it off and say they didnt. and make sure you know what Velocity there guns are shooting. anything under 300 FPS is ok. above that it starts hurting a lot and it can break your masks lense. we played saturday with some guys we didnt know and they hit this one guy and a shard of paintball went through and drew blood on his forehead. wacked me in the hand and it ripped a lot of skin off. they were shooting close to 400FPS. and then we left. so make sure that whoever you play with plays fair and keeps there velocity down. oh and dont let my stories make paintball sound bad. if played right and safely it is one of the most fun sports on the planet.

I ran my own field and played at the same time.

For the girl that asked about starting. Go to the woods to start. It's more relaxed and you won't be hit as much or as close.

Here's my website:

Mrguitar said that you should stay with honest players. Yeah, that is really a good tip.

We play with no referees. So, we have to be honest.

We are trying to get a new style of Pb started. It will have no referees and will do scenarios. Like some historical stuff mixed in with other things. One thing that we are tryingto do is mix costumes into our scenarios. German uniforms, Star Wars uniforms, Civil War uniforms, and even Star Trek. One guy is working on a War Hammer scenario.

Here's a website for our org:

um no clue theres alot of choices but i dont no witch one to pick! witch ones do you think are better?

Well, it depends on how much you play, what you play, and how much do you want to spend. Theres a large array of markers ranging from $50 to $2000.

If you just starting out, and only play one per 2 months, I'd go with the very afordable and reliable Phirana R6. My home field uses them as rentals and rarely has problems with them, they're easy to strip down and clean too.

If you play about once a month then I'd strongly suggest a Tippmann Custom 98. Its got a sub-machinegun like grip. All aluminum and they are so durable that you can dig a ditch with them. It costs like around $50 more than the Phirana R6, but it will last you longer and has better accuracy, though you should by a cheap smartparts teardrop barrel for under $50, much better than the stock barrel. Don't get those 21" silly sniper barrels because a 14" inch barel just has pretty much the same accuracy. I've had my Tippmann for a year now and have had no problems whatsoever, plus they are upgradable.

Those are great for Woodsball or a slow paced game of speed ball. But if your into speedball then look into a Spyder Rodeo, its a pretty decent marker, much faster, smaller and lighter than the tippmann..

and then theres the big guns that are intended for paintball addicts, the once or twice a week gamers. Hands down, an Angel G7 plows at a maximum fire rate of 31 balls per second, although it's not humanly possible to shoot that fast, you still get a really reliable weapon. Of course then you would need a low pressure air tank, a really fast electro hopper and a barrel kit, thats alot of money, but its worth it. heh
