Hey fellow movie lovers! Gotta thing to ask of you...
...I am currently writing a novel and a screenplay based upon the same concept: while I won't reveal too much about it at the moment, I will say that my protagonist / hero is a Christian teen in high-school who, while being very innocent in spirit and intention, manages to get into the most painful, embarassing, reputation-damaging and spiritually-trying situations possible...you know, things that make you feel sorry for him, make you root even more for him to come out on top for a change.
What I'd like to know is, do any of you have some good movies where the protagonist/s get/s into similar situations? You know, stuff like slurring your words so that is comes out as something else; talking about someone and having them walk up behind you as you do, hearing the whole thing; washing your hands, splashing water all over your pants in questionable areas...I'm kinda short on inspiration, and I need to broaden my omnipotent prowess over my main character, make him squirm a little more, make him all the more sympathetic/empathetic for future audiences. Any help would be appreciated, thanks, and God bless for the effort!
