Really nobody likes pain. We all hurt and get hurt by someone both physically, spiritually and mentally. We all go through that red spot in our lives when we just wish we we're dead. God taught us to be glad at these times. You'd probably think 'God's crazy! Be glad at these times?!' but no it's something really big and in a sense beneficial if we do deal with it well.

Pain shapes us into something big for God. It would be so great to live a life without pain but umm, God reserved that in Heaven :). We all seem to want to see God without wanting to go through death and pain. But is that the way we should be thinking when God came to us through pain and suffering?

You'd be as soft as jelly if you wanted to avoid pain. You'd run and hide and be scared the whole time which is bad news because down the track there is going to be pain which you can't avoid and if you aren't ready for pain, that going to hit you like a ton of bricks. Pain in a sense gives us a shell around our soft spirit.

It builds up a protective defense mechanism that we can use to deal with future pains. So next time you end up with suffering or difficulty, your shell can help you deal with it because in the past, you have experienced it before and thus you will now be like: "Ha! Been there, done that. Get stuffed devil you gotta be more creative that that!" :)

:D  I just love the way you put that Sharky!

When we feel pain God can bring us the comfort we truly need. It's never without reason, the comfort God brings us enables us to serve as a comfort to others.

well, isnt there a saying that, after pain, theres gain.. i think that not only relates to losing weight or watever... but also with our spirituality, like,
when were struggling to get through life trying to follow Jesus' way and trying to please God, reading the bible, fixing relationships with other ppl etc..(it isnt very easy doing that and keeping up with it), but after the struggle, theres the reward>> Getting into Heaven.. and the happiness it brings

i dunno if im making any sense at all tho..

OH! and also, what i learnt from a sermon b4 was, that without pain, we dont seek for God as much, like we feel that we can handle anything and we dont need help .. but with pain, it can lead us into either the wrong path which can turn us into drunken addicts and watever... and thers another one that can lead us into needing Gods help and growing more closer to him...

mleh. its 11.30... i dun think i make sense- still
