Overwhelmed

Overwhelmed by life’s situations
There’s no room to take a vacation
There’s no giving of adulations
Drowning in fear, seems no cessation

Loss of control, seems there’s no way out
Mind looks on what causes fears and doubts
Looking within, seeing no escape
Keeps focused there, running same old tape

Life defeated wants to run away
Face reality another day
Find a way to drowning out what’s pain
Resurrect a life the flesh to gain

Live by feelings, not now walk by faith
Not look to the Lord to give His aid
Live in fantasy and not real world
Trust in God to save has now been hurled

Trust in man, in his philosophy
Has prevented now a bow on knee
For deliverance from overwhelmed
When we let the Lord be at the helm

Give it up, let Him now be in charge
Your faith in Him let it now enlarge
All surrender, now give everything
To the Lord, and peace He’ll surely bring

Don’t let yourself be led what’s of man
Read God’s word and follow now His plan
When you’re feeling overwhelmed by life
Not give in to what is largely strife

Let the Spirit now be in control
Give your life completely, fully whole
To the Savior of your life from sin
Follow Jesus, victory now your win
