That is not about styles per se, but the progression.Worship Is Not Sex
Are they making an issue of music styles when there is none?
Those are lame IMO. Too much focus on "me and Jesus" and not enough on only HIM.I myself hate "Jesus is my boyfriend" songs.

I made note of the parallels between intense deep worship and a sexual encounter decades ago. I believe it to be valid.
Not at all.Does that mean the music is blasphemous?
Not at all.
Sex is not blasphemous.
I agree on the statement, not the tune. Some music sounds are weird. Like Kashimir from Led zeppelin.

Early 20th century "classical" sounds weird to me.
A lot of music is hypnotic. Soft music that eases from the 1 chord to the 4 chord and back, over and over, can be very hypnotic.Kashimir sounds hypnotic.

No. Hypnotic music may be fine in some settings. So hypnotic means so exquisite its like you worship it?
So what makes music like Kashmir hypnotic? Is it the pedal tone in the bass?A lot of music is hypnotic. Soft music that eases from the 1 chord to the 4 chord and back, over and over, can be very hypnotic.

No, they have a point. I myself hate "Jesus is my boyfriend" songs.
Yup, I missed the word "satire" in the article and took it to be a real album. Lark News, of course. That would explain why a couple of the titles seemed a little excessive. As I was reading the insert, I almost, for a sentence or three, was ready to skate over to iTunes and sample that "Intimacy" CD, just to hear what it sounded like. It was 'real enough' that the satire was believable, up to a point.
No. It means it starts to blank out your mind, inducing a mild trancelike mental state. So hypnotic means so exquisite its like you worship it?
