"Our value is measured by what God has done for us, not what we do for God."
That makes us so much more valuable than we could ever be by our own works, and gives us a value that doesn't fluctuate.

Matchless Love on us bestowed
all those years and times ago
leaving us in utter praise
forevermore in His embrace!

So if God has done more for me than you, I'm more valuable than you?" :)
LOL. Honest question, or interesting view? Jesus died for all of us. That makes us all of extreme value. Why split hairs any further than that. We should appreciate each other for that great value alone, and leave the rest to God. He is the Judge, not us.

I didn't mean to split hairs. But I honestly feel blessed by the Lord. Idyllic childhood. Great partner. Nice home near the beach. Problems mainly of my own making so I cant help but feel God has given me a huge amount.
The "dying for our sins" part puts us all on the same level I guess.

I wasn't accusing you of splitting hairs, just threw that out there for readers in general. I know you have an appreciation for what you have, and your own value, and I appreciate you too!!!

So the great equaliser is "Jesus dying for our sins." Why? because He dies for everyone equally, Christian and non-Christian alike, our enemies and our friends, those who have committed atrocities as well as those who sin less ostentatiously. Just that Christians have an awareness of it, show their gratitude or appreciation for it.

The gift of God (eternal life through Jesus) only benefits those that receive it. "...the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those that believe." 1Ti 4:10 Jesus died to save everybody, but only those that receive Him will be saved.
