WARNING: VENT!

Last month was our first cycle of really trying to conceive instead of letting things "just happen". AF finally came (late) yesterday, and now I have a sharp pain on the left side of my pelvis. (Going to the OB as soon as I could get an appointment.)

What makes it harder for me to deal with this BFN is that one of my coworkers (we only have 7 women out of 40 employees) found out she is 7 weeks pregnant - and it was completely unplanned / unexpected! While I pray that she and her baby remain safe and healthy, it's difficult for me to really be happy for her and not be jealous of her condition.

Okay, vent over....

I understand your feelings.. we are in the same situation.. just finished my first cycle of really trying.. after not formally trying.. just not doing anything to stop it.. and it was negative. it does get hard to deal with others who get pregnant and understanding why them and not me. I just wanted to sympathize with you!

It's so, so, so hard.

I'm going to be real with you- only because I wish that someone had been painfully real with me when I started TTC. It's not easy- although some conceive quickly, many do not. In fact, I remember reading somewhere that the average is like 4-7 months for a couple
trying.

Getting a BFN is never easy, but you have to be realistic when it comes to TTC. I never in a million years thought when we started trying, that a year later I would still not have my BFP and now I'm on fertility drugs.

It's hard hon, trust me I know.

Maybe I'm just jadded, but after a year I've learned not to analyze over every symptom and get my hopes up. I guess there is a point where you start to come to reality and realize that this TTC business isn't easy.

Hang in there, try to remember that most couples take months before getting pregnant.

Thanks for the reality check. I got down and pouty and had to vent because it was just such a shock that my friend/coworker got pregnant while on BCP - it was totally unexepected for her. I'm just jealous and angry and have a lot of other emotions that I'm working on dealing with. I'm getting better with each workout I do.

Trust me I can sympathize. 2 of my close friends got pregnant while on bc- it's so frustrating but the reality is, like anything in life it's just easy for some women and not so easy for others.

I'm so sorry, Perky! I was just thinking about you and was going to PM you. I know that God has a child in your future, just keep on trying! That's supposed to be the fun part, right?! My prayers are with you!

 HUGS!!

DH and I have been trying for 2 years and are finally trying fertility drugs as well. But I do know it's hard whether it's the first month trying or the 24th month - it's always hard to get that negative... and it makes it harder when someone close to you is pregnant. In the past few months, I've dealt with DH's best friend, my best friend, co-worker, my sister and DH's sister - all pregnant. DH's best friend finally had their baby - but I am surrounded! It's not easy - and I know how you feel. Just remember that you are not alone - we are all here with you! And feel free to vent anytime - In my experience, it really helps sometimes! :)
