  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

10 Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people: for who can judge this thy people, that is so great?

11 And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king:

12 Wisdom and knowledge is granted unto thee; and I will give thee riches, and wealth, and honour, such as none of the kings have had that have been before thee, neither shall there any after thee have the like.

Our God is a loving father who not only can do anything, but he owns everything. That’s right, he owns every dollar in every bank. Not only does he own every dollar in every bank, but he wants to share it with his children. It is true. He is a giver by nature, and is greatly blessed when he gives.

The problem is that most of his children are not ready for God to bless them the way he wants to bless them. Most believers are still carnal, and thus unworthy to receive Gods blessings. If God were to bless most believers the way he blessed Solomon, they would take their blessing and turn away from God. They would no longer see a need for him until the next crisis came along. I’m not talking about small blessings. I am talking about God literally opening the windows of Heaven and raining down blessing continuously. That is how he blessed Solomon.

What would it take for a believer today to be blessed as Solomon was blessed? What can we do to prepare ourselves for his blessings? When you can drop EVERYTHING and run to God saying “I don’t need anything else”, you are ready to be blessed by God. When you can look at your family, friends and all of your possessions, and say “I don’t need ANY of that as long as I have God, you are ready to be blessed by God. When you can say to God: “I will do ANYTHING for you no matter what it takes”, you are ready to be blessed by God. When you are ready to give up everything for him and live on the streets if necessary, you are ready to be blessed by God.

Here is the problem. Many believers say that they will do all of these things, but it is only words. The way they live their lives, the way they behave, the priorities they live by, speak louder than their empty words. If you are not talking about God every day to anybody who will listen, you are not yet there. If you are not living for him 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, you are not yet there. By “living for him”, I mean being a blessing to him in word and deed often throughout the day. If you have not put God ahead of your family and friends, you are not yet there.

The beautiful thing is that when you do these things, you do not need to worry about anything else, because he will take care of everything.

Thank you so much for this message! The Lord reminded me of something tonight that I think goes with this well.

We are all going to have to live for eternity with whatever story we write for ourselves here on earth. Do you want to spend eternity regretting not living for God when you had the chance? Why not quit writing our own story and submit to the role in God's story that he has for us? It is the only way to create the best life imaginable for us on earth and in heaven. So why not God give God our all? What we think we are missing out on by being selfish, is actually nothing in comparison to what we are really missing out on by not laying our lives down for the Lord.
