Thanks, no contractions for the last few days, it must have been because of the monitors that I started contracting- my neighbor, who is due the day before me, went in the same night for the same exact reason as me and she said she also started contracting, but hers didn't last as long or get as intense as mine. Now it's back to the waiting game and my whole goal for this pregnancy is to miss my son's birthday which is the 30th of Sept (I'm due the 20th).

And yes, I know I should be in bed at this time, but I officially belong to insomniacs anonymous at this point so I'm going to sit at the computer for a few hours and enjoy my carnation instant breakfast, go back to bed at some point and then have to get up at the crack of dawn when my kids want to get up.

It sounds like you're doing okay now, but I thought I'd mention that a very common cause of pre-term labor is dehydration. Pregnant women get dehydrated very easily and do not always have the classic symptoms of it (often contraction will be the only sign). Make sure you are drinking a minimum of 64 oz of water a day.

And if the baby does decide to come early, try not to worry too much. 35 weekers usually do just fine. My son was born at 34 weeks (my membranes ruptured for an unknown reason) and though he had some complications later on, he was fine. He was small and needed some extra oxygen for a few hours, but was healthy. Best wishes!

Thanks again. I don't think I have hydration problems since I drink two liters of decaf tea every single day and usually top that off with another 64 oz of water throughout the day, so for once, I am actually getting enough to drink. I'm so tired, I accidentally told my three year-old she could go out to play with her friend across the street because I kept dozing off. I need to go check on her to make sure she's ok
