The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

First of all congratulations on your quit.
Please don't give up for this too shall pass. I know that it is a very difficult thing to go through but if you stick it out it will be worth it in the end. I tried sooooo many times to quit and finally succeeded. Are you using any NRT's? If not, I would recommend the patch, it takes the edge off....Remember to keep the faith and most of all hold on to God with all your might...God bless and if you need to talk you can PM me anytime....

Thanks, just wanted to let you know, I am still smoke free, and other than a bad patch of craving Thursday morning, I am doing pretty good. So far just trying to do it cold turkey. Spent 17 years smoking, so it's really time to quit, plus I have a lot of motivation since I recently found out my 16 year old son is smoking. 
My husband is a life-long smoker too, so it might be hard if they smoke around me, but so far they are being good about going outside to smoke, so they don't tempt me.

Still clean but I have gone 30 days or more befoe I started agin, so I gut try to make it thru the day and see what happens. Godd luck to all who are trying, and remember if you break don't beat yourself up just keep on trying.
