CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Beaver tails are Vancouver?
I'm a Californian but my wife lived in Montreal until she was 8 then spent the rest of her formative years in Ottawa (more specifically Aylmer.)
I gotta tell ya, you've got one heck of a town to call home.
I spent a week there hanging out with her high school friends. We hopped from pub to pub and had a blast. I loved Heart and Crown.
After Victoria, Ottawa has to be one of the coolest towns I've had the pleasure of visiting.

i guess you're confused on this one...
it's actually, "beaver tails are in vancouver"... beaver tails being a pastry dish of sorts shaped like a beaver tail. i've never had one so i was just kidding around, but they're are a specialty of ottawa.

there's a place in the market called "beaver tails". I had no idea what they sold until today. Now I'm not as grossed out.
