Hello,

Last night, I picked up a phone call. I answered her questions regarding delivery and time etc, and she was satisfied.

When I asked "anything else" she got VERY ANGRY and said I was just trying to get her off the phone, she then asked what type the store opens, and I answered her question. She then said a few more sentences about how I wanted her off the phone.

I apologized saying I wasn't trying to be rude, but she hung up.

Am I overreacting?

Thanks

Some people are like that. Does your store record phone calls? Maybe mention it to your supervisor and then let it go.

I see HER as overeacting, and not you.

I think it must be difficult at times these days to work with the public. Many people do seem to be overly sensitive, and overly emotional, about alot of things ... and not very considerate themselves about the things that they say to others.

You didn't misgender the person or some other horrid thing, did you? If not then you should be fine. It's their snitty personality problem.

Maybe your tone of voice sounded off to her. “Anything else?” is usually asked in an exasperated tone and maybe she thought you were rushing her off. Still, sounds like she was having a bad day and she did overreact in her reaction. It’s hard to say without hearing the phone conversation.
