What foreshadowing have you found in the OT?

OT:
God instructed the Israelites to paint their doorposts with the shed blood of a perfect sacrificial lamb.

Foreshadowing:

Christ’s shed blood to deliver us from eternal death, God promised to spare the lives of His people whose homes bore the mark of lamb’s blood, by causing the death angel to pass over them.

All the OT feasts and sabbaths are shadows and none of the law, not one jot, shal pass until ALL is fulfilled {certainly Jesus fulfilled some, but if we read the OT , he equally certainly did not fulfill ALL of the Law [the Law is MUCH MORE than just the old covenant with Israel]
{see my posting on [weekly]sabbath foreshadowing rest in God, Passover [as against Easter and Eucharist] foreshadowing death of Jesus, the messiah of Israel [not just the Jews], foreshadowing of the royal immortal priesthood......we also need a post on the forshadowing in Feast of weeks [not Lent], day of atonement, feast of tabernacles, etc...wll work on it}

The Ark of the Covenant containing the written word of God foreshadowed the living Ark (Mary) who carried the Living Word.

Which is part of the reason Catholics view Mary as sinless. The OT Ark was built of pure materials to God's specific direction to hold tablets of stone, albeit the words of God. How much purer should the vessel be that would hold God's Living Word, His Son? :)

Good topic. Very interesting. There are more 'types and shadows' from the OT that came to light and fruition in the NT, but I'll only bring up one right now. :)
