  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

When two individuals who have never crossed paths intersect on all points of a theory, that belief is the cancer of our society. Two individuals who lived on separate sides of the globe, two individuals who lead completely different lives, two individuals who held two vastly different cultural upbringings. I would say that the chance of concluding the exact same idea's of someone you never knew until 2019, gives rise to authenticate that Osho was correct.

[Osho died in 1990, and I only know of him due to the evidence leading me in his direction]

Bhagwan Shri Rajneesh later known as Osho, originally grew up in India & later became a professor of Philosophy at a university in Jabalpur, in central India. He became known as one who opposed Mahatma Gandhi.

He developed a type of meditation that became popular but his political activities led to the university asking him to leave. He did so but now had a lot of money from his teaching meditation.

I remember when I traveled through India with my brother. I was trying to communicate with a university student the difference between the Lord Jesus Christ and Krishna, between Christianity & Hinduism. At first I didn't so a good job because he responded that Krishna came down to earth from heaven, died for sins of people, etc. so he saw no difference between Jesus and Krishna.

I remember praying & asking the Lord for wisdom to show him the true difference. The Spirit did. He simply said to my spirit, 'Tell him Jesus is holy.' That was it. So I told him that. He then asked what is holy. So I explained that Krishna was both evil & good.

However, Jesus was holy all the time: at no time did He ever commit evil or speak evil (I Pet 2:22; Isa 53:9) nor did He ever know sin or evil by thought or by experience or by speech (2 Cor 5:21). He is both God & man. And because of this, Jesus was the perfect & holy substitution for us sinners & His sacrificial shed blood propitiated (satisfied) God's righteous & holy standard of His laws that we had broken & rebelled against.

Then I said in order to be right before God & have a relationship, we needed to be as holy as He is. He got quiet for a few minutes then suddenly blurted out, "That's not fair! No one can do that."

I then said, NOW you are understanding the difference between Hinduism & Christianity, between Jesus & Krishna. Only Jesus can make us holy & righteous before God by imputing His righteousness to us, crediting it to those who put their faith & trust in Christ, confessing him as THE Master & following Him & His teachings. He said I have given him much to think about.

I had mentioned that India had holy men. He told me that most of the common people knew that these people were fakes & made a joke about us Americans being duped by those going over to America (at which time Osho was in Oregon in his commune).

He again got in trouble in India after setting up an ashram (monastic community) & eventually moved to Oregon in the U.S.A. One of the secretaries where I worked took her whole retirement (& lost everything) & moved to his ashram/city of Antelope where he forcefully by law took over the tiny city.

He & his personal secretary, Ma Anand Sheela, were involved in many shady things & the largest bio-terrorist attack in US history. The cult infected 751 people with salmonella by contaminating restaurant salad bars. The 1984 attack, planned to incapacitate voters & allow it to win seats in a local election, led to a 20-year jail sentence for Sheela.

A netflix movie called Wild Wild Country is about this although not as accurate as it could be. An Osho commune is now in India, still carrying on his teachings.

I’m familiar with his teachings. I used to read the messages from the Osho cards often. What is it about him that inspired the correctness you mentioned and how were you led to him?

It is the fact that I had no prior knowledge of Osho or his opinions of the effect"s of belief before 2019. Yet I concluded the exact same idea's he arrived at, so much so it would be considered impossible.

There's more to what Osho discovered that I now possess, and when I go, someone else will advance what I've discovered now.

I dont think his/your idea is that unusual.

In fact most of his notions seems pretty generic.

@Mathetes66 Thank you for the informative post. It highlights the importance of doing your homework and not entrusting yourself to persuasive ideologies.

I recall similar issues with transcendental meditation. And many fell prey to its guru. I don’t believe in a human embodiment of perfection outside of Christ.

The stories end on the same note with empty coffers and ruined lives.

So true LaBella! But IN HIM we have life. In our Lord we have joy & peace. In our Lord we walk in the Light! We can enjoy Him in the beauty of holiness! We can walk with the Living God each & every day He gives us breath! Oh the wonders of fellowship with the Holy Spirit, leading & guiding us into all the truth & helping us discern good from evil, so that we will not be tossed to and through with every wind of doctrine. :happyblush::hoho:

What are you aiming for here?
Do you agree to those two things?

Because if you don't, then the premise you stated in your OP is false.

"that belief is the cancer of our society"

I'm not at all saying its wrong or dumb. Just that its not special.
Osho means all possible avenues a person takes towards believing in something is where the fault lies.

I agree with that.

Would Einstein's theory of light be falsified on the premises he disliked black people? Or he had a drinking problem?

That's not what you were saying in the OP. You were saying that somehow, "magically" your personal opinion lined up perfectly with this Osho guy, and so that would be evidence that there's something behind it.

Just on subject of beliefs.
