I just made that observation after posts from SDA's said how bad and pagan, etc., oblisks were (which I think is silly). Maybe your issue is with them.

I don't condemn Mrs. White or her estate in the least for her gravesite. Sorry if I came off as otherwise.

of course, your version is always "the truth" and no one else can say other wise, or they "boo" and "hiss."

There have been others before you who have tried to say the cross is "pagan" and that Jesus did not die on a cross. None of them have succeeded. And neither have you.

There is in fact nothing wrong with the Savior dying on a "pagan" device such as a cross. It was God's specific design that this should be the case.

If you think oblisks are a bad thing, you should be concerned they are at EGW's gravesite. If you don't worry about oblisks, (as I don't), her gravesite is fine. I got it all figured out!

lol; I dont worry about them much. They are not worth the effort. I cannot figure out for the life of me why such meandering negative subjects are the realm and focus of so many!!

so is there any meaning now in those obelisks or not? because some there is something to it, others are probably OK with it... so is it satanic or isnt it? Is it cool with God if buy myself some mini obelisks and set them up in my living room? Just cause I like the shape of it...?

I remember adventist pastors enlightening potential sda newcomers about the pyramid on the dollar bill... I guess you cant have one without the other...

Now if I was a follow of egw I would have to see the obelisk as something godly since egw was having one (and therefore in approval) on her husbands gravesite... and God wasnt to upset either as He could have given her insight on it easily in a vision...

So the obelisk must be Godly... ))))))

Aren't obelisks just like church steeples, pointing us to heaven?

I think they have a shared origin... although I heard they represent male fertility? lol not sure what that says about those churches that have steeples then.

I don't think the long ago historic origins of a symbol is very important except to historians or others interested in understanding old writings.

A symbol is representing what a current observer believes it to symbolize. What that symbol meant to a person who died 3000 (or whatever) years ago doesn't matter one bit, only what it means to people now.

Why waste your money?
